I heard a gifted Presentation Headford team annihilated St. Jarlaths in Juvenile level a few weeks back. Is this true? ChrisSweeney (Galway) - Posts: 45 - 31/10/2009 21:32:33 471977 Link 0 |

If anyone has the Jarlaths team it would be greatly appricated, I doubt it could match up to previous years? Although by the looks of this forum people hold them in high regard. footballman22 (Galway) - Posts: 134 - 02/11/2009 00:11:55 472657 Link 0 |

mydog you are telling lies, presentation college headford did hammer jarlaths in juvenile about 3 weeks ago in tuam stadium. jarlaths ony got a goal in the second half if im not mistaken. i think there was 12 or 14pts in it at the end. manager5 (Galway) - Posts: 724 - 03/11/2009 09:47:23 473701 Link 0 |
Great result for Presentation Headford football. Long gone are the days when I was in the school in Headford that Jarlath's used to hammer us off the pitch. Is it a gifted Headford team or just a very poor Jarlaths teams? ChrisSweeney (Galway) - Posts: 45 - 03/11/2009 17:46:50 474259 Link 0 |

jarlaths were playn without Ian Burke also so they had 2 play a defensive game for most of the match wellscan (Galway) - Posts: 37 - 03/11/2009 19:49:25 474382 Link 0 |
Heard that Jarlaths played their first Rugby match the other day. Nothin against rugby but I know men like Fr. Brendan Kavanagh would be turnin in his grave. Jarlaths will never again be the force they were. Only reason they beat some teams in Connacht is because the standard in Connacht is so poor and so far behind the other provinces in Colleges. leftfooter (Galway) - Posts: 28 - 06/11/2009 23:11:43 477800 Link 0 |

Jarlaths wont win much Im afraid with that team. A lot of very average footballers - midfield looks very poor - saw those guys playing a few times and they are just about average club standard. Hard to imagine that with the amalgamation of Pats and Jarlaths they cant produce more than that. leftfooter (Galway) - Posts: 28 - 08/11/2009 22:50:42 479022 Link 0 |
By the time amalgamation took place the number of pupils in St. Pats Tuam was quite small. There will be no benefit to SJC football from the numbers involved. The standard of football is slipping gradually. oldSJCfan (Galway) - Posts: 12 - 10/11/2009 23:18:41 480709 Link 0 |

Jarlaths won't prove anyone wrong. They just are not good enough. Qwerty123456 (Galway) - Posts: 6 - 12/11/2009 00:54:39 481817 Link 0 |
