I heard a gifted Presentation Headford team annihilated St. Jarlaths in Juvenile level a few weeks back. Is this true?

If anyone has the Jarlaths team it would be greatly appricated, I doubt it could match up to previous years? Although by the looks of this forum people hold them in high regard.

Great result for Presentation Headford football. Long gone are the days when I was in the school in Headford that Jarlath's used to hammer us off the pitch. Is it a gifted Headford team or just a very poor Jarlaths teams?

jarlaths were playn without Ian Burke also so they had 2 play a defensive game for most of the match

Heard that Jarlaths played their first Rugby match the other day. Nothin against rugby but I know men like Fr. Brendan Kavanagh would be turnin in his grave. Jarlaths will never again be the force they were. Only reason they beat some teams in Connacht is because the standard in Connacht is so poor and so far behind the other provinces in Colleges.

Jarlaths wont win much Im afraid with that team. A lot of very average footballers - midfield looks very poor - saw those guys playing a few times and they are just about average club standard. Hard to imagine that with the amalgamation of Pats and Jarlaths they cant produce more than that.

By the time amalgamation took place the number of pupils in St. Pats Tuam was quite small. There will be no benefit to SJC football from the numbers involved. The standard of football is slipping gradually.

Jarlaths won't prove anyone wrong. They just are not good enough.
