I agree that conor guckian had a great game, he roasted brian higgins who is probably more than 6incs taller than him. But all round for a bit st marys team they were very unconvincing as st machans were totall off the pace and it went down to the wire. eammon stenson had a great game for st machans as a third midfielder in the first half as he was everywer! the beirne bros. wer totally off the pace. and all the tak about them! donal flynn played also played well fo machans but is not a corner forward. ray mulvey and david tiernan commanded things in the midle for marys and reall shone on the day

How anyone cud think carrick were gonna win the u-21 championship is beyond belief!!! They've been talkin themselves up since it started when they knew outeragh wud walk through them!! As it was in the minor final 3 years ago it was a walkover!! And the man that killed them in the minor (fergal earley) wasn't even playin last weekend cos of injury!!!! So i'm afraid all you carrick lads that were in galway for graduation can pipe down for a while!!!!!! :)

Oughteragh had 8 ballinamore players and 7 aughnasheelin players starting for that final. Ballinamore could make the semi finals at least without the aughnasheelin players and i think aughnasheelin would have done well in the B championship on their own. its a shame they had to be amalgamated for the championship as they were far too strong for it. St. Marys were easily the best single-club team in the champ this year and had the best player in Ray Mulvey! Had it been ballinamore sean o heslins instead of Oughteragh gaels, st marys would have won it as oughteragh reliedd on the aughnasheelin lads a lot in the final!
