theres a lot of injuries on the team at the moment.

Peadar Óg - ankle is another new injury.
Ciaran O'Donnell, David Black & Jack Larkin are also still injured

they have recalled a few players aswell due to the injuries: Eoghan Regan and Gearoid Cananvan.

Some of them could well be back for the next game against sligo as it wont be until after the Leaving Cert 6 weeks or so away.

MattieG if i am right you are who i think you are you should know what is wrng with ciaran o donnell? is it his groin or is he just taking some time out afetr the couple of months he has had. i heard both and am wondering along with a lot of people if his groin is that bad that he missed the whole league he must be out for season

coniegael i dont know who you are, but yes i do know Ciaran O'Donnell well.

Trust me it is his groin, Physios where down to why he is out for so long, they couldnt figure out what was wrong with him.
They kept saying 6 weeks, but after that period he was stil not able to play and so another 6 weeks and so on.
Finall they found out it was gilmores groin and had to get surgery.
He got the surgery on Friday the 7th of May and will be out for 6 weeks.
Physio and surgeon said he will miss the Sligo match.

Ian burke would be too light for that carry on. They need tall physical men, like Maughan.

Ian Burke would walk on it. Fabulous footballer and he's not too light. He's unbelievably strong and ten times the player Maughan is. Don't no if Burke wants to play this year though caus has been playing football for three years without a break. Is best under 17 player in county.

This this is such a ridiculous Comment 69r. Ian Burke is one off the strongest lads i know. I have never seen someone knock him and he is the best tackler i know. He is so built up and he has such good vision. If corofin didnt have him for Minor they would be poor. i think he is the most under-rated player in the county and I can see him on the galway county senior team in about 3-4 years. He can catch anything and his shooting is beautiful.
Burke vs Maughan? It has to be Burke for me 10 times over. Jarlaths were playing st marys last year and burke marked maughan at centre back(out off position) and cleaned him.
I would also like to point out when Corofin played Ballinasloe in the minor 2 weeks ago. ballinasloe had Kelly full back and Sean Silke Cleaned him. ie kelly is a county player. Im not saying saying silke should be on the county team but it just shows the shambles off the county team. plus Ballinasloe had 3 county players playing while corofins healy(keeper) was taking off due to injury at halftime) Also corofin didnt have ian Burke or dathi Burke who were injured. Shaugnassy was midfield for Ballinasloe(corner back galway) and the only thing he could do was catch about 2-3 balls in the air. Oisin Mannion cleaned him and he got past him so easy going throw the middle. I was laughing cause shaugnassy couldnt even stop him so how is he supposed to be a corner back for a county team?

message to the corofin posters: stop building up rubbish players that are afraid of the big occasion - the best U-17 players in te county are tom curran, shox and sean moran as you will see when 1 of them gets captain next year...
