Im dont no much of the lads on the team only the north lads. I think this minor set up is a disgrace. Ian Burke would be the best forward on the team. Patrick coen and dathi Burke are the best pair of midfield in the county. it baffles me. That team wouldnt beat a kilkenny minor team. i bet if that team played sathill or corofin the ''Galway'' team would lose.

Galway were very lucky to get away with a win yesterday, letrim were by far the better team in the second half the work rate of some of galways forwards was a little bit suspect

Saw the headford v killerarin minor match this week and though as a neutral Adam Keane(headford) is a good player. Is he worth a shout for starting team??

having no corofin players on the panel bar one is a disgrace. i can think of 3 off the top of my head good enough to start out-field. its the same most years. politics influencing selection with west clubs having to represented or a civil war will break out. i mean the likes of clifden having 3 or 4 panelists.... get real. there are not 4 players from there inter county standard.

galway priced as favourites(yes favorites) for all-ireland minor 5/1

I agree with football.mad. You have to go to trials to make the team you cant just expect that you are going to make the panel with zero effort involved no matter how good you are. the corofin players (except Healy) obviously have no interest in playing for their county.

Not sure how they came to that conclusion. Minor is a lottery really.

critic101 - if the clifden lads aren't inter-county standard then why are they on the squad? the lads from corofin only had to travel half an hour down the road for trials while the clifden lads had nearly a two hour journey each time..it goes down to how much the lads wanted to make the team and clearly only one from corofin wanted to make the grueling journey to loughgeorge to represent his county

well in that case any old joe who can barely solo but is willing to put in the effort what team would we have. if galway teams are to be succesful the best players available need to be playing. im sure the corofin lads had valid reasons not to attend trails. i mean, what 18 year old doesnt want to play for his county. its been the same old stories for years. selection is based on gettin as many clubs represented as possible. i would love to see 4 players on the panel from clifden and the likes IF they were among the best! but obviously from the teams performances the current panel is not up to standard as 5 or 6 or the best players in the county at this level are not on the panel!
