Kilteely Dromkeen V Patrickswell in Gaeic Grounds before senior game this Sunday, time TBC

Semi Final Draw:
Blackrock V Doon this Sat 2.45pm in Claughan
Effin V Winner of K/D & the 'well

Blackrock are strong favourites at this stage - south final v effin was great game
Kilteely have a young team & little experience at this level. The 'well being a "hurling club" have to be hot favourites!

is the Kilteely/Drom v patrickswell 1/4 final the only only game preceding the senior game on sunday or is the minor final down for decision as well??

A little unfair taking kilteely into the Gaelic Grounds, they could be in for a bad beating at headquarters!

Our Club played both this year and a Kilteely win is on the cards. A young Kliteely team will not be lost in the Gaelic Grounds. Remember Patrickswell lost a good few from the start to the finish of the City championship. It is new teams like Kilteely that make the championship and I wish them well on Sunday.

From being involved in matches this year I think Kilteely have a great chance of beating the wells second string. Its depends how they deal with having to play a big name team because they have some good hurlers and are pretty fit. Time will tell.

The minor game is not preceeding the senior as Na Piarsiagh are in both the Minor Premier & Senior Finals and have one or two players on both teams. Na Piarsigh are playing Kilmallock in the Minor, not sure when...

East Gael should worry about his own parish maintaining intermediate status next season before putting anyone else down...Their team this year is not a patch on the team that won the Jnr A county not so long ago

longd, not worried in the least, can't be getting to County finals every year.A smidgin of luck and we'd have been in a county 1/4 this year, fact.

blackrock to win it out id say

Would have to be unbackable favourites at this stage................but you're right about the cockiness. They consider it a done deal at this stage.

Don't worry eastgael I don't think ye need to worry about getting to county finals for another few years. I see you haven't congratulated your near neighbours on winning the intermediate final yet, good sportsmanship indeed, or do I detect the green eyed monster?

I would fancy Blackrock to win the Junior, but I would expect Kilteely to win next weekend and its nice to see them getting a game in the Gaelic grounds in front of a big crowd. Here's wishing them the best of luck.

Hard luck to F/ Castlemahon on loosing out in the Junior A Championship. Lads get used to a long stay down junior as it is by far the toughest grade to come out of.

Kilmallock is booked as the venue for the final. W/e 8th Nov is the provisional date but if both clubs agree, there is the possibility of w/e 1st Nov.

County semi result from earlier Blackrock 0.21 Doon 2.04. All south final on the way, no chance of Kilteely or The Well stopping Effin

blackrock played very well. Scored 21 points, lots of them from play and some very classy scores. Doon didnt really get going at all except for a small spell at the start of the 2nd half. The quarter final on Sunday ended up with a 5 point win for Patrisckwell, Kilteely looked a good team but very light, the Well just had too much for them on the day. Cant see them troubling Effin in the semi final though, Effin are a big strong side and should be able to out muscle the Well, but they will need their forwards to be better as they always struggle for scores from play, other than Tommy Quaid at full forward who had a great game in the quarter final.

well done to patrickswell on sunday. open & enjoyable game of hurling. too many of the young kilteely team had quite days and Patrickswell picked off scores to easily. But i'm sure the kilteely lads will learn from the experience. have to agree with previous posts, very hard to look past an all south final
