Kieran Kenny and Liam Cullen were inconsistent on Saturday in Aughrim. Garret whelan or Eugene O'Brien are 2 of the best around. 1 should get the final

Why are Refs getting such bad feedback at the moment, Are they that bad?

Perfect example of referees would be to look at Pats Vs Newtown last weekend......ended up sending off 4 players when he could have booked one of the newtown players early on in the game for blatant persistant fouling, and then the game would have not become a farce that it was in the end. Also the Kiltegan Vs Tinahely game - persistant fouling by Kiltegan half back line left the good Tinahely half forwards afraid to challenge for any balls in second half. The assistant on the line was close on a number of occassions but did not do anything.

The problem that the Co board have is that they only have a certain amount of referees in the county - and they are doing something about it with the referees course being carried out shortly.

On a side note, Junior Champioship match in Newtown last night between Lacken and Pats was a disgraceful exhibition of refereeing - and only 3 umpires, and 1 linesman!!!! Co Board representative was there and when issue of Lacken goalie wearing white jersey (Pats were wearing white) was brought to his attention, he basically said it was nothing to do with him!!! And ref didnt care either, madness.

Fella who did the Baltinglass Coolkenno game last week was really good too.
I've seen him a couple of times this year and have always been impressed.

Not sure I think he's a Doyle from Ashford

in all fairness lads it a fierce hard thing to please all the people all the time!!!!cos no matter what way the ref goes, somebody's gonna give out about him..so less abuse and more support is required all round...sure are'nt they as much gaels as the rest of us,and without them nothing would be possible

Bookie he wasnt to bad if you take out the two soft penaltys and on another note i see our friend Duffy has got the All ireland final i hope he does a better job than he did of the Wicklow v Kildare game i see the mentors of both Kerry and Cork not to happy about it they think McEnaney should have got it and i agree with them
