Of matches I've been to, I suppose you'ld have to class All Ireland Finals as the pinnacle. So I'd have thykingdomcome (Kerry) - Posts: 1206 - 31/07/2009 10:36:48 371060 Link 0 |

I'm biased but in the 1995 hurling chamionship Limerick beat Tipperary 0-16 to 0-15 and Gary Kirby scored 0-12, 0-7 from play the rest placed balls. It was like he almost single handedly knocked out Tipperary on his own such was his prowess on the day. At one stage he took a sideline cut, mis hit it, Sean O'Neioll hand passed it back to him & he drove it over the bar. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 31/07/2009 11:41:33 371176 Link 0 |
Does any1 else know who holds the record for the highest score in an inter-county match tyrone.man (Tyrone) - Posts: 83 - 31/07/2009 11:43:05 371178 Link 0 |
Also forgot to mention that in the 1981 Munster championship Tipp led Limerick by 13 points and in a ten minute spell Joe McKenna scored 3 goals to lead a comeback and Limerick to draw the game. Possibly the best full forward ever to play the game. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 31/07/2009 11:47:08 371181 Link 0 |
