Yes paddy cunningham as well .

I was winding Dell. Last year I said Antrim had loads of Collie McCullough's, well we have hundreds of Paddy Cunninghams.

Great free taker though.

Of matches I've been to, I suppose you'ld have to class All Ireland Finals as the pinnacle. So I'd have

Maurice Fitz against Mayo 1997 for definte. basically won the match on his own. Incredible stuff.
Joyc against Meath in 01. 11 Points !! And won them an All ireland final.
Peter Canavan agains the Dubs in 95. Doing it against the dubs is something special. 11 points is even more special. Wasn't enough for the win though.
Bomber Liston against Heffernan's invincible Dubs in 1978. First season as a senior!! 20 years old Score 3 goals and 2 points flumoxing Dublin in the most powerful display ever by a full forward.

But the tops goes to Mikey Sheehy for me.

2-6 in the 1979 final helping Kerry to win against the fantastic dubs. What more can you say. The stylemeister himself.

1. maurice fitz in 97 against mayo as one of ye poined out was unreal
2. P. joyce vs meath in 01. 11 points and not all from frees. pulled us from poor 1st half draw to huge winning margin.
3. joe canning vs cork 08. 1-05 from play outta 2-13 unreal
4. daly in 95
5. canavan in 03
6. canty in 07 munster final vs kerry i think it was. won alot of messy ball on the day to help cork win.

I'm biased but in the 1995 hurling chamionship Limerick beat Tipperary 0-16 to 0-15 and Gary Kirby scored 0-12, 0-7 from play the rest placed balls. It was like he almost single handedly knocked out Tipperary on his own such was his prowess on the day. At one stage he took a sideline cut, mis hit it, Sean O'Neioll hand passed it back to him & he drove it over the bar.

Marty Morrissey was commentating and just said 'the radar is on' as the ball flew over the bar. Some performance.

Also forgot to mention that in the 1981 Munster championship Tipp led Limerick by 13 points and in a ten minute spell Joe McKenna scored 3 goals to lead a comeback and Limerick to draw the game. Possibly the best full forward ever to play the game.

In football I think its Rory Gallaghers 3-9 for Fermanagh against Monaghan. To the best of my knowledge thats the record for championship matches. Might be different for league matches etc.

think it is sean purcell of galway. scored something unreallike 2-09 back in the day, all from play and then the game was only 60 mins long. was ment to have being some scoring display on the day. think it could have being an important match also like a league final , AI semi or an AI final. correct me if im wrong.

In the 1954 Leinster hurling Final Wexford V Dublin, the great Nicky Rackard scored 5-5.
