Ah the old US v THEM attitude you can't beat it. Sure if people with your attitude were left in charge Dell we'd have never evolved past swinging from the trees much less reach a peace agreement.

Who do you mean by "their" side?

Do you mean Tesco? I do not like multi national companies as they have destroyed the fabric of society in many towns by undermining and closing numerous small business premises. They also exploit the labour market in places like Asia.

If by "their side" you mean the so called "unionist" community, could I suggest that the very fact that you distinguish between "their" side and "our side" is enough to mark you as someone with sectarian views in my opinion, and therefore someone who would be marching on the 12th July if you had been born on "their" side as you put it? You are certainly not the type of person I would like to mix with.

As to the Tesco incident, you know nothing about it so are unable to comment.

I can't stand when RTÉ called the plastic bullets non-lethal. Tell that to the 17 or so people who have died from them, many of them children! Has also left people with long term injuries. Should be completely banned!!

I was Born here, I love my home, I love my job,I love my Country I have no intention of leaving ULSTER They can walk the streets all day everyday if they want as long as its in areas that people want it. But they seem hell bent on matching not once in Nationalist areas not once on the 12th but twice and not just once a year 2 ,3 times

My 2 sisters and a cousin are now living in the South and will never come back to Belfast to live. They are all married and have made their lives there and their kids all very much Southerners with the brogues to match. I was down with them a few weeks ago and there's no doubt that you can feel the sectarianism, bitterness and tension lift off you when you cross the border. For many Northern Catholics the simple fact that wearing your county GAA top or an Ireland/Celtic kit in the South without being glared at or feeling threatened is enlightening. I only really noticed it when I was on my holidays recently. However I agree with some others, I have lived too long in the North to abandon it to bigoted fundamentalists. This might sound controversial to some but in a doomsday scenario I would stay and fight for my Irish birthright. I know many other Northern Nationalists feel just as strong.

Dellboypolecat County: Tyrone Posts: 5896 346322 patrique County: Antrim you cant even stick by your own. Would that be Buddists? What exactly does "stick by your own mean?". Would my own be the people who damage graves in cemeteries as you say in your next post, or would my own be those who do more than that at places like Omagh, Enniskillen or Warrington? "Whataboutery" as it is called in the North of Ireland Dell is a pointless exercise. If you cannot see that, and if you cannot see that you are as bitter as the worst loyalist, then I fear there is little future for you. The more enlightened among us however could enjoy a bright future.

I must admit that it's been a while since I have seen such raw venemous sectarian hatred in the North as I have these past few weeks. What worries me is that many of our young people are involved and indeed are stirring it up. Catholic chapels, GAA clubs, Orange Halls and individual Catholic/Protestant homes are being attacked on a daily basis. The riots in Ardoyne confirmed to me that things are starting to slide again and I only hope that no one loses their life in all of this. That could set off a terrible snow ball effect of inter community violence again.

Very true Ulsterman, What saddens me also is that Orange institutions in some parts of Ulster can be very stubborn they know there not wanted walking past the Ardoyne The Ormo road and Garvaghy road not alot quieter because this is not aloud to happen anymore, There are to types of Orange men those who walk with dignity in boarder areas such as Donegal/Fermanagh/Cavan/Monaghan/Armagh And those who have Alcohol fuel Scottish flute bands that cause trouble when over here i.e Derry protesters getting attacked at the Diamond by a Drummer and Drum Major these bands come over here stir it up and think nothing about community relations when they go back to Glasgow. And those who attack their Unionist neighbours need to step back as it serves no purpose, Look at Barrack Obama CHANGE WILL COME. not today not tomorrow but its coming.

To be fair it's only the past few months that things have flared up again. At the end of the day for many people it is their home and there is that stubborn streak that is present in all Irish not just Ulster folk. I think 90% of folk in the North are fed up with things and wish to get on with their lives but you will always, always get the minority that are willing to stir up trouble and that's just the way it's always going to be I'm afraid.

Its easy for Southerners to sit down here and say "oh you should all just get along blah blah blah".....i for one WOULD NOT appreciate an Orange Order march being permitted to walk through my estate. There is no need for it. NONE. It is done to annoy and stir up trouble. And you're a fool if you believe differently.

A friend was telling me that an apprentice boy walked up the Bogside on Monday with his sash and hat on. That is just asking for trouble.

After visiting a famous tourist attraction in the north a friend got shouted abuse at them for simply having a Derry GAA jersey on. The shouted 'Get that Sh** off you its Londonderry not derry' I think there is no need for that while there is tourists in the area. What message is that sending across?
