There's a serious lack of colour around the county, well saffron and white anyway. I'd of thought with us being in our first Ulster final in 30 years the Towns of the county would be decked out in the colours. The Andersonstown road hasnt even a flag up as of yesterday anyway which is unbelievable condidering its our head quarters. Was reading the county website where an Armagh man highlighted this point and it dawned on me that the only place i've seen any flags up is the whiterock road .Although i havent been in all the towns in the county ive been in a few and there's not a flag in sight. 2taltohill.2000 (Antrim) - Posts: 104 - 09/07/2009 13:36:23 338835 Link 0 |
I actually think there's an awful lot of colour up around the county - I mean everywhere one looks it's a sea of red, white and blue! BelfastFella (Antrim) - Posts: 60 - 09/07/2009 14:38:26 338973 Link 0 |
You would think that if each one of the clubs on The Road hung out a few flags, Belfast would certainly get the point of "Belfast Rising"; especially Casement park ! Saffron_in_Dub (Antrim) - Posts: 85 - 09/07/2009 16:27:47 339209 Link 0 |

Maybe between the 'Northern Ireland' flags and Britain flags and Orange flags and Military flags and Scotland flags and Palestine and Israeli flags and Cuba and Venezuala and Basque flags and Irish flag and Irish Provincial flags and Republican Socialist type flags the people just got kind of flag weary in the end!? I think there'll be plenty of Saffron & White up around the County the problem is keeping it up. We decorated our town on Saturday only to wake up on Sunday morning to find some cowards had taken most of it down in the dark of night but we put it back up again yesterday & we'll keep putting it back up til the final on Sunday. I know that in Portglenone that they aren't allow to put up the Antrim Flags as they will interfere with the union jacks and so called Ulster flags. Some things never change fra_mccloy (Derry) - Posts: 12 - 14/07/2009 10:28:59 344965 Link 0 |
