Would agree with you about Brian Gallagher. think he has a bright future. shane nally and varley from garrymore are good prospects as are jason gibbons and paraig o connor. i was impressed with edmund barrett in kiltanes last game. Cathal Hallinan (ballintubber) totally nullified mikey sweeney. dont think sweeney has a future in a red and green jersey. Hallinan is a top defender though. David Caffrey (Charlestown) and benson (crossmolina) definitely deserve a shot at the top level. adrian freeman (aughamore) is another. himself and o shea would cause serious trouble towards any full back line.

I find it amazing that Charlestown,who have contested the last 3 county finals at senior level, won Division 1,and the centenary cup this season while losing only 1 game all year, have no players mentioned on this post!.........Tony and Paul Mulligan, Richard Haran,David caffery......Winners, isn't that what we need???

I agree with most of Samuel's choices, and to ajudge I think it would be nice to see them get a shot at it alright, but would you not give Cathal Freeman a shout as well? He does have th same name and all! Hopefully Neil Douglas gets a proper crack at the team...Best corner forward in th club champ as far as I can see!

In relation to Onions.........Neil Douglas the best corner forward in the championship?? Hardly.......geraghty took him to the cleaners in the first game and he scored 2 points off him in the reply. I agree he's worth a shot but best forward in championship is a bit far fetched!! There has been no outstanding forward on show throughout championship this year unfortunately

First has played for Mayo, should be corner back, and move his namesake Keith to half, use his pace.

Doherty awesome for Ardnaree, he seemed to be Man of the match for Ardnaree Junior team each week.


Mayo need pace in the side to win Sam..

Nothing wrong with it at all Sammy, thats if he actually wants to play for Mayo...surely you'd think he be more interested in getting onto the Down panel first.
