there are also a few decent players in the achill team that are young and open to further improvement some of which have fbd experience such as Donal Corrigan, Michael Gallagher, Gerry Cafferkey and Martin Keane. Bogmanofireland (Mayo) - Posts: 11 - 31/07/2009 10:16:27 371018 Link 0 |

absolutely mind blowing how young shane greene from the stephenites doesnt make the mayo panel,he has all the assets to be a top county player accurate on his left ,can kick from the 45' outside of the boot like mcdonald and is a tough hefty lad, although be it he doesnt make the junior team which is another complete shambles henrietta (Mayo) - Posts: 8 - 05/08/2009 03:24:52 378341 Link 0 |

After Mayo's dreadful performance on sunday will JOM give a chance to some of the players mentioned on this topic and get rid of the some of the same oul faces who he has persisted with for the last 3 years, of which a defeat to MEATH in a all-ireland Q/F was a highlight!! tazbar (Mayo) - Posts: 7 - 11/08/2009 10:12:28 387322 Link 0 |

Gary Ferguson Killala, Kevin Whyte Killala, Darren Welsh Killala, Johnaton Welsh Killala would all make the Mayo panel any day of the week. gpkillala (Mayo) - Posts: 69 - 14/08/2009 14:00:42 392113 Link 0 |
Also Anthony Regan Killala, Ronald Regan Ardmoy, Nigel Collins Lacken, Kieran Langan Knockmore and Brian Roache Kilfian shoulld all be on the Mayo panel without a shadow of a doubt gpkillala (Mayo) - Posts: 69 - 14/08/2009 16:29:59 392441 Link 0 |
I agree with gpkillala, a fellow club man who obviously knows his stuff. Many's the discussion we have had these long summer evenings talking about the potential of local junior players making in on the mayo panel for next seasons league. For too long now the fantastic Welsh brothers, Jonathan and Darren have been overlooked. What about the Noones and Lynotts of Kilfian and the tradition of the Collin's boys down in lacken?? JP Guiheen from Ballycastle, Ciaran Folan and Liam Christie from Ardnaree and Knockmore hero Richard McHale, his 1st cousin Kevin has been a solid feature of Killala's attickiing unit for years killalaman (Mayo) - Posts: 16 - 14/08/2009 20:08:54 392726 Link 0 |
