Aye. Running Thursday in the 3.45. I've won a few euros recently backing him, just wondered how he might go this week.

361310 As the time draws nearer im getting excited.Anyone been talking to any trainers? My uncle told me the trainer of kaitlins joy and tj's joy are flying at home and should run good races.

If Pat Martin runs Kaitlins Joy in a one mile race (and I am told he will), then she will get swallowed up on the bend. She has risen over three stone since her first win, I can't see her winning another handicap off her current rating. I'd well believe Tj's Joy is flying at home but it has only run in two maidens so it will not be trying on its next start. On the fourth start - which I presume will be a nursery - I believe it will skate in. That would be my take on them two horses.

Correct me if i'm wrong but was kaitlins joy not carrying 8st 9 on her 1st win and carrying only 8st 10 today? That's what racing post is telling me anyway.Any fancies?

Its lashing in galway at the moment so it will effect a lot of horses today.

Yesterday, overall was a great day I thought.By far the moment of the day was Honours Graduate coming in after winning. It was a local horse and got a huge roar.Iv a feeling that wont be the end of gilligans sucess this week.
In the 6.25 My valley is due to go well as he always does in Galway.
In the Mile Race id have been watching 3 horses who are going in it,Settigano,Celtic Dane and Maundy Money.Settigano is a well bred horse who has always ran well in Galway.Last year he was caught for room and ran on well to Celtic dane. With mickey Joe in the saddle I think He could run a bit race but my only concern is he hasnt run in a few months so will he be up to fitness..Celtic Dane is another horse who was laid out for this race in 2007 but got caught for room but made ammends last year with a great win, although I didnt think the ground would suit him.Its the same with him this year but i really thing the ground will just be to soft for him..Lastly its Maundy Money,Marnane's first runner of the festival.I think he will tackle the testing ground and run a huge race.

Selections
6.25 My Valley
7.00 Settigano(16-1)+Maundy Money(14-1)

She won her very first race off 48 last August, she races tonight off a rating of 89. Thats a rise of 41 pounds, just under three stone! The actual physical weight a horse carries means nothing, its what they carry relative to the other horses in the race which means if they are well handicapped or badly handicapped. She surely has to be in the handicapper's grip by now though? We'll see tonight I suppose but this will be her hardest race yet.

363660 I have a feeling that this Galway is going to be a bookies benefit. Many of these horses are proper summer horses who want to hear there hooves rattle. With the ground being as it is i reckon theres going to be some awful strange results.....!! At least the craic will still be mighty

Yeah I see what you are saying but I love when the ground goes like this. Lots of horses can be ruled out because you can be fairly sure they won't handle the testing conditions. A 16 runner race can pretty quickly be turned into a 6 runner race.

dead right there loyal, this is the only weather that really helps punters imo

I'm up money. Backed three today, had Almolahek and Maundy Money e/w but lost a few coppers on Invincible Joe, so I'm doing nicely. Northern Alliance and Oodachee e/w for me tomorrow.
