Right so the IFC championship kicks off this weekend, here's my two pennies worth and rankings going into the 1st round.

1. St Kiernan's - Favourites for me, will take some stopping. Moyles deadly from frees.
2. Moindreag - Strong as always, but will always have question marks over temperament. Narrowly losing to "big sides"
3. St Clarets - Very much off the radar, but top of Division 2 and looking good, one to watch.
4. Harlesden - Some good results, the young foxy lad playing very well in Midfield.
5. North London Shamrock - Very quite season so far, not sure what to make of them.
6. Heston Gaels - Had a good game v Kiernans, but not much else, seem to have gone back since 07'
7. Thomas McCurtains - Winning games handy in Divison 3, but all the teams above would too.
8. CuCuhullians - 4th in Divison 3, lost Eastwood, trouble ahead!

So I predict wins this weekend for: Heston, St Kiernans, Moindreag and Clarets.

Any views?

Personally I think it will be a three way scrap between St Kiernan's, Moindreag and the North London Shamrocks with St Kiernan's to come out on top in the end.

I know it's early in the season and all that but if I had to put my neck out, that's what I'd go for.

Its starting to shape up nicely now. I agree with Wests_Awake but the Clarets could pose a question the NLS. Who ever wins that will come out second in the group to Moindreag. Harlesden to finish behind St. Kiernans in the other group. Then it will get interesting.

Dont think any of the rest really have a chance of progressing, their squads are not strong enough.

Will the Intermediate Championship be affected by the London Juniors now with all the games coming up?

St Clarets, St Kiernans and NL Shamrocks will battle it out
Moindearg, Heston and McCurtains could cause a upset or two, but dont see any of them winning.
Harlesden and Cuchullains to play off for relegation.

ST CLARETS TO SNEAK IT AND EARN A DATE WITH THE JUNIOR CHAMPS

London Gaa - you cant seriously be writing Moindreag off just like that. I know that they are bottom of the division 1 league but they are playing good opposition which will stand them good as the season goes on.
They also have 3 very good players on the London Senior panel who could damage at Intermediate level. They also only lost to St. Kiernans by a point in the Murphy Cup Final so they are not far off. I can see them making the final.

Kiernans will probably beat Mondearg in final, but as saturday showed theres not much between them. A couple of injuries or new signings could swing it.
Harlesden could be possible dark horses if their win against Parnells is anything to go by. Does anyone know if they have they signed a load of players recently or were Parnells under strength? Seen them play earlier and they were pretty woeful apart from a handy midfielder.
Clarets the only other team with a chance judging by league form, haven't seen them play yet though

The groups are:

IFCA
St Kiernans
Tommy Macs
Heston
Harlesden

IFCB
St Clarets
NLS
Moindearg
Cuchullains

Group B looks harder than group A. St Kiernans to stroll group A, and Moindearg & the NLS to contest top spot in group B.

Id say Harlesden could be the dark horses, theyve signed some good players and have a very good crop of young players coming through the underage set up, I wouldnt be surprised if they reached the final with Clarets.

Weekend Predic: St Kiernans v Harlesden Harps - Harps
Heston v T McCurtains - Heston

Moindearg vs Cuchullains - Moinderg
Clarets v NLS - Clarets

Not sure who told you that mucker, but must have been on abit of a wind up! Kiernans absolutely walked the game on Saturday! As did Moindreag yesterday! Those are the two teams to watch!!!

Anyway, after the first round I'll give the following verdicts, St kiernans are still the team to beat, although they didn't look that great against Harlesden, they won from start to finish and the result was never in doubt. Moindreag distroyed Cucullains yesterday, but not sure how much was they being good or CuCullains being bad. Heston also looked good against McCurtains!!

Harlesden put it up to Kiernans, Kiernans a bit quilty of overplaying at times. If Harlsden get their injured players back they will be hard to beat. Heston destroyed my team, Heston much better than they had been recently, showed glimpses of their former selfs. McCurtains were dreadful failed to step up the level from playing Junior league.

kiernans wont make the final as there backline is very weak and this will be there for all to see when heston s young lads run through them.also they dont like the rough stuff i heard and take the bait easily.

Well, we will just wait and see about your last statement Mr Mucker!!!!...you havent a clue from what i have seen this year. But thats your opinion and it is my opinion you will be proved wrong. Although i am going to say all this talk is nonsence about favs for the Inter Championship and teams walking this and that. It is silly talking up teams now in June, the final is played in september. Competitions won now count for nothing and nor do sly comments from people with nothing better to do like yourself. I believe that Heston are a good side and will prove hard to stop along with the strong Kiernans and Moindreag. There are some good teams at this grade. Teams like the Clarets and North London will be strong too.

The championship is unreal tight this year, no one can say any 1 team will run away with this 1. Theres 5 or 6 teams in with a good shout. This should make for a brilliant years football
