Ballinasloe might as well have a bye into the final now.
Caltra and Glinsk are both average teams. They will stroll into the final

Caltra and Bsloe is bound to be a good game. I here it will be played the weekend after next. Bsloe will be relying on youth while caltra will have the experience. i here that they have one or two all ireland winning players in their side.

Another local derby for bsloe and im sure both teams will be well up for it.

Surprised with glinsks run to the semis they were written off by many on this site earlier in the champ.. could they be dark horses i personnally know nothing about them.. Any opinions???

Who are Caltra's and B'sloe's top players at Junior level? Caltra have more than likely lost a few to the seniors but what good players have they left?

glinsk are coming in nicely under the radar and as their clubs 1st team have to be respected.
clubs with second teams who's seniors are still training hard also have the advantage of being very fit as the junior championship gets serious. still rate headford as streets ahead of the rest in the north board but caltra might shock a few teams yet, they made short work of a handy killererin team last time out and possess up to forty senior county, connacht and all ireland medals among their players!!.
tuam were very unlucky against annaghdown on sunday last.
st grellans are getting it together also with a big improvement in their attitute last time out against kilconnell someone seems to have corrected their previous poor on field discipline and they seem to have gone for a serious youth policy also.

Fearnua. How were Tuam unlucky??? They had 3 chances to beat Annaghdown. First game, extra time and the replay. They were 7 points down at half time in the replay and lost by 4. Now if Annaghdown scored 2 late goals in injury time or something like that, then yes they would have been unlucky. But, please explain how they were unlucky??????

losing a few players to senior team the day before junior game.
losing big john to injury during the game.
kicking a penalty over the bar.
kicking alot of wides in the game.
unlucky also with the weather as tuam are young and fleetfooted and would play much better on a dry sod.
getting caught by a wonder goal/fluke ground shot in first half.
is that enough reasons why tuam were unlucky on sunday??
presume you are from annagh ?
who was the annaghdown number 15 on sunday he is a classy player, wonder is he still a minor or u21 player as he looked young, he would not be lost at county level .

What are the likely starting teams for BALLINASLOE and CALTRA or who are their best/more experienced players.

Gavin, connelly, Keighrey x 2, Lawlor for Caltra.
Dont know about Ballinasloe, Lynch.

Bsloe's main men would be lynch, keith kelly and paul whelan but with two off these missin they have shown they can cope without them. They missed 4 possible starters and coped well against gabriels and seem to have 22-23 players all fighting for a starting place which is something they havent had for a while.

meanwhile gavin seems to be the main man for caltra with the two keighreys one wing forward and the other full forward seem to do the damage up front. Connelly is not the biggest midfielder but works very hard and gets the job done.

that claregalway v kilkerrin/clonberne fixture is wrong. It should be Annaghdown v Mountbellew. My predictions are B'sloe by a point or 2, annaghdown by couple of points, and headford to hammer monivea.

I cannot understand North Board officials, bring out a fixture book with fixtures for Junior Championship wrong, have set dates for first and second round and not stick to them, the first round was 21st of june, next round was meant to be 4-5th july, this is going into the 17-19th july weekend, have those in authority no consideration for those who are meant to plan around a FIXTURES BOOK,what a joke,it is clear it wasnt clear before that they dont care about Junior Football, those in high office.Caltra to beat Ballinasloe,Headford to beat Monivea,Mountbellew to beat Annaghdown, wat about playing a championship match 8pm Fri nite, and playing 2 games Sunday morning at 11.30 the day of Connacht Final,as I said wat will happen junior football.Up Galway.

understand the caltra/ballinasloe game is in some doubt as there is a contingent of 25 ballinasloe lads gone to prague. it seems ballinasloe are looking for game to be deferred for a week. will know more tomorrow.

I toatally agree with you HILSON. The time and days these games are fixed for shows a lack of respect to these teams. These teams put in just as much effort and commitment as senior teams.

Annaghdown to win by 7
Headford to win by between 7 or 15
Ballinasloe to beat Caltra by 1 or 2 in the final 10 minutes
