I do not like Celtic fans from the 26 counties

The fans from the 6 counties are humans as well as the people from the 26. Why do you not like the 26 county fans for?

all irish supporters be they from the free state, the north, ulster, N.Ireland, the republic or the south are welcome at Firhill the home of soccer in Glasgow.

Although not a supporter by any stretch of the imagination Celtic would be within the top five clubs in the world within three years if they were admitted into the premiership.

thistle harps catch a grip, you actually think that the current squad is good enough to stay up in the premiership? Fortune is a small time player and somehow you manged to get him as a coup. That is the level celtic is at. That being the reason that your 2nd yr would be in the championship, and then you would be trying to build a team to get in the pl and then survive.
It has nothing to do with the size of your stadium either, newcastle sold out 55000 every week and went down, you need to be realistic, they would be a yoyo team for a number of years.

Add to that they dont deserve to be in england, you are in scotland and will stay there, it is this arrogance to claim you have a right to join another countries league thru pure greed that makes me despise celtic.

what's all this you stuff. I aint a celtic fan. Soccer is about money and profile. Celtic in the premiership would have a worlwide appeal that few clubs could match. The differnce is outwith tyneside Newcastle have little support. The current regime at Celtic Park are very adept at using the Irish theme to great commercial effect. In the 80s they took 60,000 fans from the west of scotland to a UEFA cup match in Manchester and are reputed 80,000 to Seville. How many clubs in the world can do this?

Nice.

Loads of Celtic fans in London already for the start of the Wembley Cup tonight. Nice to hear a 'HAIL HAIL' in Covent Garden on the commute to work!

I love Celtic,I feel an attachment mainly because of the clubs roots in Ballymote County Sligo.I am a member of a c.s.c but have become disillusioned with a lot of aspects that go along with following the celtic. Its kinda funny but I think I prefered when we were playing second fiddle in scotland and had little or no media coverage.
The first thing I am asked by people I do not know when making idle conversation is who do you follow?
When I reply Celtic,I get a strange look, and I know exactly what the person is thinking...

Great win today, I know its only a friendly but I thought the tempo was much better then last year. They were passing the ball well and moving it quicker. I'm optimistic for this season, a little worried that Champions League Qualifier might be coming too early Dynamo Moscow are 13/14 games into their season so are bound to have a bit of an edge. Anyhow I have my ticket ordered and am off to Celtic Park wed night. The atmosphere will be mighty, Come on Glasgow Celtic a club born from Famine and Oppression.

You seem to be a big Celtic fan, would you put as much effort into supporting Cork City or Cobh Ramblers? Maybe they wouldnt be in the trouble there in if people supported Clubs in their own country.

paddy, I don't live in Cork anymore. Was a huge Cork Hibs fan in my younger days followed them all over Ireland. I follow Cork City results and would watch any time they have a televised game, I do go to the odd Cork City game when I am in Cork but can't claim to be a regular live match supporter. I go to about 7 or 8 Celtic matches a year usually European and Old Firm games with the odd ordinary league game thrown in. If I did live in Cork I would certainly have a season ticket for Cork City and would indeed encourage people to support the League of Ireland.

I hate the way people are obsessed with a league in a foreign country and some "Irish" people aren't even aware that we have our own national league

THE LEAGUE OF IRELAND!!!!!

ok, ok so the quality is nowhere near as good but at least have some kind of support for your local team besides being totally ready to go to the UK and fork out money to support a foreign team.

And yes, I would class Celtic as a foreign club too. They play in Scotland see??

GUFC!!!!!
