Dungannon poaching more players.

Dergboi re the Castlegrange development, you could be right. However I always believed that the bridge at Finn View was the boundary for the Urney/ Strabane parish. I wouldn't swear by it though.

I think if you check, Castlegrange as well as Jefferson Court, Summerhill and other developments in the Urney Road/Castletown area are all located in the Parish of Mourne (Melmount). This is not and was never part of Urney parish.

Dell you are wrong and you know you are wrong,

Sion mills is not in the same parish as urney and doneyloop and neither are the castlegrange or summerhill areas, You need to look up your parish boundaries dell, Normally i agree with you but you are totally wrong on this occasion

The Clarkes aren't poaching Donaghmore players, Donaghmore players would not go there because they are useless, Donaghmore would beat them at underage level right the way up to senior.

Its not poaching players if a player wants to move club willingly. Thats the case with Dungannon and Aghaloo. Same goes for urney and strabane.

Dell sion isnt in the same parish, the glebe is but sion is not!

My father and majority of my uncles played with urnai years ago, doesnt mean castlederg people can play with urnai because they were in the same parish years ago

who cares if a player does not want 2 play for a team let him go. strabane objected to a player going to Urney from Owenroes and the player never played for two years! Some GAA club that!!!! So if they don't want to play for their own clubs., let them go and play for whatever team they choose. If you go to Strabane they will buy you a pair of football boots to get you to sign with them. Fact!

Simon Cummings was moving from the rock to cookstown to try and win something until he lost interest in football and has hardly played since, but at the time he was a brilliant underage footballer.

Dell seeing as you know so much about parish boundaries, can you tell me why the Urnai teams of the late 60's and 70's were made up by alot of castlederg men? My father played with urnai as did his brothers when urnai were probably the top team in north tyrone! How did they manage to play with urnai then, when they were from castlederg and were staunch derg gaels?

It does not take away from the fact that urnai have poached their fair share of players from the sigersons catchment area, but yet you are on this site accusing Dungannon clarkes of poaching players from aghaloo when it was the aghaloo club that instigated this row as the 2 players in question were neither born in aghaloos catchment area or living in it according to reports!

I think Dell, you owe the Clarkes people on this sight an apology!

Is there not a rule where if a relative lives in the parish then u can then join that team?

You're dead right Baile Nua- there is not a rule about a relative living in a parish.

the rule pretty much only applies to first team players, never the same fuss made about a reserve player, clubs only seem to protest when a first teamer wants to move, don't seem to have the same 'moral standards' or knowledge of parish boundaries when a bit-part player is involved. Funny that.
