looking forward to the match on sunday, i personally believe the match is out of our reach. with our injury and suspension ravenged team it will be hard to muster a decent result against tyrone. people say that to win games you needa win maybe 11 or 12 of your one on ones, but i think derry have a real chance if they can suffocate clean ball being won around the middle and thwarting tyrones half back line from setting up meaningful attack. derry also need good long early ball into the full forward line and make sure they don't dilly dally with endless handpassing back and forward which just gives the tyrone defence time to adjust and strengthen their rearguard. all in all i hope it doesn't turn out to be a dour spectacle because all that will do will add the everlasting fuel to the fire for the rte anarchists and southern media.

Very interesting team selection, no mccusker or mccloy.

Looks like he's picked Lockhart and McGuckian for a good old fashioned man marking jobs on O'neill and Mulligan. Best men for the job.

McGoldrick in Midfield and McGuigan at half back. Again very interesting choices

Will be very interesting to see will they actually line out as named.

Roll on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at it more, i could see mcguigan maybe doing a man marking job on Cavanagh, with Lynch coming into the middle and allowing mggoldrick to fall into the half back position.

Mc Guigan held Declan O Sullivan to 1 point in NLF, Mc Goldrick is an excellent fielder of the ball and lays his club football in midfield if I am not mistaken, I think Mark Lynch will play on out the field a bit. Derry can still spring a few from the bench, Mc Cusker could come on to steady the ship in the 2nd half it we are sailing against the tide and there's a couple of forwards in Seamus Bumble and Cailean O Boyle who would certainly be worth a point or 2. tyrone haven't this game won, not by a long shot despite what some might say.

This could be a shock here. Derry are no hopers and no one is giving d=them a chance. Derry love playing tyrone I wouldnt be one bit suprised to see Derry win. They have done it before.

News re ballinderry not good this morning. However we will find out tomorrow is this a team that can thrive on adversity. I do believe they have the players equal to tyrone or indeed any other team in Ireland. Will they get their heads in order? I think under Damien cassidy they will and give this a real go tomorrow. A derry win is very much on the cards and I believe they will get there. Looking forward to it Doire Abu

I heard that there was none of the Derry Ballinderry support going to Casement tomorrow in protest, the Tyrone Ballinderry support will no doubt be there in force as per usual.

I wont be near a Derry match for a long time, the sanctions handed out to Ballinderry are ridiculous... Tyrone to win by at least 5

In the second minute Cavanagh is trying to get someone booked.

Penrose leading in dives, after 9 and 34 minutes.

Tyrone man booked for nothing after 24 minutes for tackling McKaigue.

After 19 minutes Derry didn't foul Jordan and he blasted wide, surely some message here for all footballers. No criticism of Jordan here, as he has been Tyrone's best player for 5 years.

Hughes is having a great game.

Overall however, All Ireland champs V contenders, it pales in comparison to last night's hurling, featuring all Ireland champs V Contenders.
