Is Ulster the weakest province? I hope so, because I would hate to think football can be worse than this.

Congratulations to Tyrone but they will need massive improvement to beat Cavan or Antrim.

Unless they are even worse than the others.

I suspect Roscommon might win Ulster.

tyrone won this game easy enough in the end, great work ethic form tyrone. Derry's half forward line was terrible, their defence did ok but at the end of the day derry were not good enough. Tyrone never looked like losing this game, wonder will the CCCC look back at a few unsavoury incidents, barry mc guiagn appeared to heat butt, if paddy bradley is starved of ball then derry struggle, what we seen today...

What will be the winning margin in the final then? To be fair I'd say Tyrone will just be going through the motions again and might only win by 8-9 pts, but they might go for it. Having said that it could be very dangerous for Tyrone to be going into the quarter-finals having no real high intensity match(aside from a patch in the Armagh game), imagine they draw Kerry! They've a long time now before they have a tough game, no disrespect to Antrim or Cavan but Tyrone are miles ahead of the rest of Ulster.

Patrique- For a clever guy, I'm not sure why you are stating on different threads that Roscommon would win Ulster. If you're point is that Ulster football's standard has been poor this year, then that's fair enough. The Roscommon thing is cringeworthy however.

Tyrone are All-Ireland champions, the rest of Ulster's teams are trying to get up to their standard. Derry are their near neighbours and naturally look enviously on as Tyrone continue to achieve. Therefore, Derry played a game which they believed would defeat Tyrone. It wasn't pretty, but i don't think it's a reflection of Derry's ability. If they get a decent draw this evening, get their players back, I believe that they would defeat most of the counties whose people are on here this evening disrespecting Derry. Mark my words! The problem that Ulster teams have is that they feel the need to play a certain way in Ulster that they then must change once they get out of Ulster. Derry play good football and that hasn't changed in one game, bit of cop-on needed from some people...

Derry at least tried a game-plan (albeit one which they weren't fit to execute today) to defeat a great team in Tyrone. When they throw off the shackles against teams from further south, they will prove their worth. I wish Donegal at least had the initiative to come up with particular game plans for certain fixtures instead of just throwing on substitutes when things go wrong. And still losing.

Hi Patrique, dry your eyes lad. funny enough I enjoyed the game today. Its still early days in the championship and we are cruising. lots of work to do yet as Derry didn't have a full squad and I expect them to do better as they have pleanty of room to improve.

For all the Tyrone haters, keep at it lads and if your team gets far enough we'll work it out on the pitch. good luck!!!

i would say derry fans are pulling their hair out-i was- they didnt seem to have any game plan didnt know what they were doing-a few lads wanted the ball handed to them rather than sticking there head in. Tyrone won comfortably only playing at about 60%. Think it was Harte that hit an absolutely beautiful point to brighten up my day
