why are people so jealous of ulster football????ya's are becoming pat spillane...just because kerry don't have the fitness, mental strength and intensity to match ulster teams...but could you imagine kerry in ulster...paul galvin would be probably be sent off every game for losing the head...aidan o mahony would be sent off for his terrible efforts at diving!!! also,i believe if that it was an ulster player that dived last year, spillane would still be talking about it...but we are not that foolish!!!!!!brolly showed him up on several occasions so far this year!!!

I must say Hoy, I'd rather start against Armagh than against Cork. Anyway win or lose, the back door means that Tyrone will have either won which shouldn't caus ethem any mental stress or lose which would mean they are in with the rest. (No Big Deal) Afterall there'll be 5 Ulster teams in the back door. Seeing as they are so good surely a couple of them will make the semi finals this year for a change.

9000 at the opening Ulster game is hardly what you'ld call a packed house.

And, we dont condone diving in Kerry. He wasn't the most popular person in the kingdom after that shall we say. Dealt with inhouse everytime he played a club match. Don't you worry. But I have to say if you look at my previous posts and other Kerry posts at least we will admit to our failures.

And, by the way, in case you think I've a chip on my shoulder, I am looking forward to two great Ulster teams playing this weekend.

Two teams this weekend who know how to play good and entertaining football, will be very interesting to see how this game pans out.

Mossie upon reflection, wouldn't you agree the title of this threads was a tad over the top?

Intersting how this thread got published in the first place when you consider that the title "Fundamental sickness in the heart of Ulster football" has 2 too many characters to fit into the Topic Title space!!

Time will tell my bright little Oak. I was genuinely disgusted by the scenes at Celtic Park and felt the need to express this. When have you ever heard give out about Ulster football before?? Ive not once joined in the anti-Ulster bandwagon that seems to prevail on this forum but last weeks game really ****** me off with its outright cynicism. When two sides go out with negativity and at the forefront of their approach as opposed to actually playing football(as I believe was the case in with Derry/Monaghan) then there is something fundamentally warped about the mindset that allows this to happen. Heres to hoping that this was just a once off and that the rest of the Ulster championship is remembered for positive open football played with no lack of flair and skill. I will happily address my opinions accordingly should this prove to be the case.

Yes but why label it Ulster Football opposed to Derry and Monaghan Football

From here on in it shall be known as 'The battle of the Bogside' Bloody Sunday ain't got nothing on this one!

Hey Mossbags you old sage I await your next deliberation with eagerness . I for one will be most disappointed if the Tyrone/Armagh match displeases you in any way.

There is a fundamental sickness to Galway and Mayo football-so much ability yet too soft and not ruthless enough to win the Sam at the moment.

i have nothing personal against ulster football or people but they do play a dogged defensive style ,but on the flip side they ave won sam a few times this decade ,i swore i wu never gamle on gaa after last years all ireland. am i on my own when i say i thought kerry wu destroy tyrone last year in my analysis before the game kerry had 15 top notch natural footballers against a team who were beaten by down who got hammered by wex they should not of beat mayo but they did ,i suppose what im tryin to say is i cant understand it ulster football that is its not easy on the eye i always expect kerrys finnese and beauty to come throu but somehow the ugly brute of a heavyweight wins ?im baffled.one more point these NEW superpowers tyrone armagh derry are just that these pundits and experts wu do well to remember that they are not traditiomal footballing conties except down and cavan who funny enough dont seem to ave that chip on their shoulder
