Best club grounds in Kildare?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

All White, don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Leixlip but as you said, parking is a pain. And even though they do - sometimes I must say - open the car parks of the adjoining schools on big match day, if you have a look up and down the road outside the club parked cars are up and down the road...as D'Unbelievables said "blatant abandonment of vehicles" at times.
That aside, once into the ground, not much better places to watch a game, the stand and a superb pitch a joy.

Sure lets get a few guards down to tackle this "blatent abandonment" by clamping everything in sight.

Don't think it would help the situation but sure the chaos caused would be funny as hell.

would agree with leftback's earlier post, Ballykelly will have their new facilities open in Aug and will have without a doubt the best grounds in the county. Am told they have spent approx 300k on the pitch surfaces alone. Went up there tonight to have a look and its very impressive, 2 adult pitch, 2 juvenile, which are all prunty all weather, 2 astro pitch and a 600m2 club house and dressing rooms, it will also have parking for 250 cars. The most amazing thing is that it will be completed wjthout incuring any debt on the club

Celbridge facilities are up there. Not a fear of the pitch being up there with the best though.. tis like playing on a concrete surface after a few days of sun.

Can someone put up a link for Ballykelly's new place?

Celbridge has the best facilites and an amazing pitch. They also have 2 other decent pitches over there too, but the Leixlip surface is better. its by far the best. Their gym is excellent too, pity about the senior teams...

Ballyteague has the best pitch in Kildare. Leixlip is nice but nowhere near that standard.
