Kildare v Dublin ......... Dublin.. even on a bad day. Their too strong around the field. Obviously, I would love to say Kildare but realistically, I would just hope to see them put up a good fight and show up unlike other teams have done in years gone by. Hopefully, it will be a launch pad for a good run in the qualifiers.

Im not buying into the Kildare bandwagon.. just yet... That old chestnut of Championship being a different ball game to League is quite true. Would like to see Wicklow getting to a Leinster semi-final, no reason as to why they could not.

yearofthelily realistically think about it. ye had a good league run and a few challange games and ye tink ye can beat dublin. as already mentioned wicklow bet ye las year wen we had to listen to the same crap about kildare winning leinster. meath are the only team to put it up to dublin and we all know it...we may not win but we put up a better game than kildare could. in my opinion it will be a meath kildare final but meath arguably have a tougher side with dublin but i expect offaly and laois to put it in..championship a different story so show bit of respect to our fellow counties and the footballers they have

Yearofthelily, I never said that Offaly had the best supporters but I was just picking you up on the point that you made in saying that ye had better supporters and the logic you used to come to that conclusion. I know that we dont always turn up in great numbers but we sure make ourselves heard and give the lads wearing the jersey plenty of support. We will be in Portlaoise again for the game with ye and will be outnumbered but this alone wont win the game for ye. I am not predicting an Offaly win but this game will be an awful lot closer than you and some others are expecting.

As a Kildare man I can categorically say that Kildare better up their performance based on their last display against Meath in Navan in the league. Offaly have a couple fo good scoring forwards who can cause problems for anyone. Think Kildare could be dangerous if they get over the first hurdle and start building confidence but that is no certainty. Dublin to win again i'm afraid

we'll beat dublin at a canter. we outplayed the dubs in 07. they are no better than they were then. worse in fact and we should have beaten them well only for a 6 point turn around because of the ref. none the less we outplayed them and will do so again and beat them this time

i see everybody putting dublin down as winners as they have better championship form in recent years than any other leinster county. but how many times do meath have to beat dublin as underdogs for people to realise that maybe meath do have a chance at beating them in the first round. in 07 we were considered weaker then laois and wexford but yet were the only team to put it up to dublin, outplay them and bring it to a replay in which they won fairly. but it was still a close game. not like wexfords 30 point hammering. all form goes out the window at a meath v dublin game and when meath beat dublin they normally go a long way
