Leinster Senior Football Championship R1 Kildare v Offaly - Verdict: Kildare Carlow v Louth - Verdict: Louth Longford v Wicklow - Verdict: Wicklow Meath v Dublin - Verdict: Dublin (yet a sneaky suspicion that the apple-cart may just be upset) If verdicts are right, this is how Leinster Senior Football Championship Quater-Finals Look, Kildare v Wexford - Verdict: Kildare Louth v Laois - Verdict: Laois Wicklow v Westmeath - Verdict: Wicklow Meath v Dublin - Verdict: Dublin (yet a sneaky suspicion that the apple-cart may just be upset) If verdicts are right, this how semi-finals look, Kildare v Laois - Verdict: Kildare (it will be tight but I can hardly say Laois) Dublin v Wicklow - Verdict: Dublin And so Leinster Final.... Kildare v Dublin ......... expect a close one but would imagine Dublin to win by 5 or 6 points,,,,, hopefully not by 20 points that Wexford, Laois and Offaly have had to endure in recent years... If Meath beat Dublin then I'd fancy that the Leinster Championship will be one of the most exciting championships in years cuz anybody and everybody is in with a chance!! Come on the Lilywhites!!!!

No sneaky suspicions - commit yourself. We can all have "sneaky suspicions" - otherwise called "sitting on the fence"!! CALL IT

Otherwise I would go with your other predictions except I think Westmeath will beat Wicklow. Doesn't matter though as I'm going for a Dublin V Kildare final and Kildare to win.

sorry Real Louth Fan.....

At start of year I would have Dublin by a mile to beat Meath but O'Brien seems to be doing a steady job down there and Gilroy seems to be bringin the Dubs backwards from last year... Thats why I've sneaky suspicion....

I threw in Wicklow to beat Westmeath cuz I think there has to be a shock along the way..... it was either that match or Louth v Laois,,,,,????

I'll stick to my prediction

Sure missing the core of your team for the first 6 months of the year hardly bodes well for the championship does it???

And if you haven't improved under Gilroy (albeit missing the names you mentioned yet I wouldn't stick Vaughan or Magee into a sentence with CORE OF DUBLIN) and you have got whipped by the likes of Derry at Parnell Park (not a bad result if up north but at home????) then surely ya have gone backwards.....

why is anybody to believe that the Dubs (already an ageing side) are to make any impact on the All Ireland this year>>>Tyrone taught ya's a real lesson last year.... that's how far off the pace ya are.....ya ain't done nothing this year so far to suggest that that gap has been closed.... Meath will run ya's close

Dublin have gone backwards.....

Hammered by Derry at Parnell Park? Missing Who? Vaughan and Magee CORE TO DUBLIN - ya, good point... they featured so much in Dublin's starting XV last year...

And if the core of your team is missing for the first 6 months of the year then how does that bode well for championship???

And another point, Tyrone gave ya a good beating last year....i've seen nothing so far to suggest that gap has been closed..in fact ya have gone BACKWARDS

yearofthelily, Dublin going backwards? Dunno where your gettin that from. Some good young players gonna get a go this year. I'd be more optimistic than last year for the dubs. Looking forward to a good game with meath. They've been playin down their chances but I believe they fancy themselves against the dubs. I'd be happy to see a strong meath team again cos I really miss that rivalry. Leinster needs it.

That's fine. Just to be sure as you did put in a disclaimer about Meath. But at least now we are clear. Thanks for that.

ye but you forgot to mention that alan brogan david henry paul griffin shane ryan and mark davoren were missing who will all start against meath in the championship and sure we did get a beating gaainst tyrone last yearas kildare would if they were playing dublin but i guarantee you we have gone forward since then in that we now have a full back and a new corner back who is a great marker and griffin will be centre back so are defence alredy looks a lot tighter we also have mark davoren an excellent full forward who scored 1 3 against kerry on his debut we have alan brogan whos an all star we have bernard brogan another quality forward and conal keany a good physical player who can notch a few points as well as create a few and then we have young players like pasddy andrews blaine kelly and diarmuid connoly who have a lot of potential in mi opinion we are in for a good year
