was at the moortown vs gortin 2nite as a spectator, gortin were very hard done by.ref gave them nothing, and moortown just had to fall and they gotta free. gortin wer up by 4 at half time, but moortown came bck at them and took it to 1 point, then gortins keeper drop the ball and handed moortown a goal, slippy condtions tho. have to say the main talking point about this game!!

the ref could well have lined 3 gortin players, he did let things go on both sides though. moortown kept plugging away and in fairness never gave up, even though twice they conceded goals that could have put them away. a good performance all round and id be confident of progressing against either clan or derrylaughin.

well done to the castle by the way, glad to see you progress to senior football, genuinely mean that.

In response to dell boy. Actually our club was one of the only ones to beat them in the league last year so take what you will from that.
Think Castle will just stay up but will be in playoffs at bottom end at the end of the season. Good achievement but just think physically they will struggle
in Div 1.

Strabane v Greencastle this Friday night.
Think we lost the toss for home venue, but sure.
Have both teams stooped training or what?
Still should be a competitive outing.
Castle by 7.

I would say both have stopped training at this stage but i fancy greencastle to win this game by 4 to 5 points .

Well done Greencastle!!!!!!!
I always thought senior football for Greencastle was a long way off, maybe even a pipe-dream. But the standard of football in Greencastle has excelled thanks to the hard work of many people. As a Greencastle supporter I am super chuffed they will be playing the likes of Dromore and Carrickmore next year. Happy days!!!!!!!!!

And.... I've really enjoyed reading all the posts on this thread. Fair play to all the other clubs for wishing Greencastle the best.

Dell boy. No chance Greencastle in top half of Div 1 next year. As I said they will be in a relegation battle, think they might scrape through and stay up.
They are as good as the lough or Aghyarn I suppose. If you follow div 2 then you will know what my club is if we took points from the Castle in the league.

Dell you're a wild man. top half. greencastle have excelled in the last few yrs but i think there needs to be a lot of changes for them to make an impact in senior football. they will be in a relegation dogfight next yr

Dell is still a wild man in a van, but Greencastle could potentially bridge the gap and make it into the top half next year, it must be a great feeling for the Carmen's, Errigals, Dromore's and Ardboe's to finally get the chance to play against us. We'll be a breath of fresh air to that Division.

Mugsys barber, your getting carried away i doubt. If you get 10-12 points next year I'll be impressed.
As I said before big step up a bit too soon for you's. Too many young players. Collie Touey your oldest
at 29. Wish you the best but fear for you's................ Young Mc cullagh wont get away with some of the stuff
he did this year in places like Arboe, Carrickmore and Dromore. Good player that he is.........

On a different note, anyone give Newton a prayer of staying in Div 2 next year?
