What an achievement for Greencastle.
First team ever in the clubs history to play senior ball.
Was so proud to be a Castle man on Sunday.

Also a good performance over the Moortown on Sunday
to put us into a league cup final against Strabane.

Well done to Cookstown for lifting the title at the weekend.
Hard luck to our elderly neighbours.

Firstly, congratulations to Cookstown on winning their double, Overall they were deserved winners and as expected were pushed by a strong Gortin team with a bright future ahead of them. Best of luck to Gortin in the play-offs, It will be hard to pick up the heads after losing a final but after two games they could realistically be in a position again to go up which i genuinely hope happens. Particulary if it is at the expense of Loughmacrory or Kildress.....

Secondly it's awesome to finally be a senior club. Its also great that the likes of Carrickmore, Dromore, Errigal, Ardboe and Coalisland will get the chance to play against us.

The 2010 Tyrone senior championship will for the very first time have a club competing with serious All Ireland credentials and experience of winning at Croke Park. There's surely much more exiting times ahead of us for this ground breaking, history making parish.

You about Cookstown last night Mugsy? I hear your namesake and a few Castle men were enjoying a dance. Didn`t get myself, ******* work. Sunday night was great crack, tough day at the office yesterday. Who do you fancy in the draw at the end of the month?

Watching, I didn't get to join in on Sunday night as I was at the Italy game the night before and rushed back to get to the Gortin match, I've also previously made it known to "tre fiddy" and "Murphyslaw" that there was an embargo imposed on me entering the premises at the crossroads again. Such celebrations should be held in the clubhouse anyway one would have thought.

I'm not so sure if I'm all that fond of the division 1 idea now that the word is out that the guys were dancing with townies! A week earlier Mugsy was dancing round them with the ball in his hand right enuff - lol

Obviously you'd be hoping to be drawn against one of the top teams in the division. A big scalp in the first round will have all the others looking over their shoulders and wanting to avoid the mighty men from the castle!

Nice sentiments there also Rahillyman, I look forward to many purposeful conversations on the 2010 Divsion 1 senior thread. The division 2 senior thread started by Dell boy won't be the same without us.

Yes i agree with you there in all 3 results.
Gortin will be to strong against Moortown Gortin by 3 or 4
Derrylaughan V Clann na Gael Derrylaughan have had impressive season this year i think and should except them to beat Clann na Gael but depends on the county players get on also but Derrylaughan to nick it by point.
Rock v Tattyreagh: Should be good game, think tattyreagh will have to much about them tho on the day wit there impressive forward line and were unlucky to go down last year and will be very hungry to go straight back up this year, haven't said that Rock will not want to go to Junior football once gain Tats by 3 points or more.

Congratulations on Greencastle making it up to Senior football for the first time in our history. Our 40th year of continuious football and 77th year since the formation of the club, under the name of Erin Hopes. I was a proud man come Sunday and must admit I shed a tear.

Well done lads and what can I say about Sean Teague? From Junior to Senior in four short years, with Tyrone, Ulster and All-Ireland titles along the way.

Moortown V Gortin GORTIN - think Gortin might just take, both teams on a downer at the minute, but Gortin should be sharper, depend if big Daly still playing.

Derrylaughan V Clann na Gael DERRYLAUGHAN - absolute certainity.

Rock V Tattyreagh ROCK - Rock should have enough to take them, Gourley on his own at the minute, but a few more should step up for this game.

Think we will see wins for Moortown, Derrylaughan and Rock- McCreesh only half fit but the old saying of the posts never moving rings true for him-doesnt miss much and I think they will be too strong for the Tatts. Don't think Gortin have any interest in going up while the same can definitely be said of the lads from Donebrack!!

Congrats to cookstown on a great double. I didn't make it as far as cookstown on mon night, but I was in eddies from early doors. Gortin could have won the game but cookstown were always in control, barry daly done well on mugsy. I thought marty murray for ctown and shane clarke for gortin were the best players. Mullan deserved the red card, it was an awful silly challenge.

Finally well done to Greencastle

Greencastle will be hammered in Div 1 next year. They cant cope with physical teams. Watched them a few times this year. Especially against Gortin
where Gortin bullied the win out of them. Good achievement but maybe its come too soon for them??
