Yes that would be correct Patrickwhack, your right on the money there, Apologies for directing that remark at paddywhack09. No need to be grumpy about it......

BobbyB, If you manage to get a look at this weeks local Herald the WJ Dolan intermediate championship final preview is worth a read. The Gortin captain is looking to dispel the "elderly relative" tag as his side aim for Paddy Cullen cup glory. Interesting read but mostly a cut and paste effort from the Division 2 Senior thread here. Made me laugh anyway.

All said and done good luck to both teams on Sunday. Naturally a Cookstown win is what we'd be hoping for, but sportingly all the best to our neighbours as well.

Tell the truth now Mugsy, was that hard to say? Lol.

No seriously though a Cookstown win is what we are hoping for alright
but you are right to be sporting.

Good luck to our elderly neighbours, wee pets.

Nah, wasn't being grumpy, just didn't know if it was for me! As far as I've heard things are ticking over alright, glad and maybe a bit surprised to be there to be honest. Gortin will have to have the game of their lives, Cookstown could strut through at 60% with out sounding too cliche'd. Had a bit of a laugh at the article in the Herald too, there must be right big audience for this thread, or possibly chinese whispers!
May the best team go north!

Does this thread close down at the end of the season or does it continue on into next year?

I'm not so sure Big sacks, I suppose you've still got tomorrow's final, the league play-offs still to discuss not to mention the big game of this weekend the semi-final of the league cup between Moortown and Greencastle. Think Q101 are covering it.

Hopefully next year the castle people will be discussing on a Divsion 1 thread along with the Rahillyman, Trileacman etc but tomorrow will tell that tale I suppose.

Patrickwhack - Its all just a bit of craic - good luck tomorrow neighbour!

Bold suggestion but i think gortin could take the game for tomorrow! Cookstown have the league and promotion wrapped up so wont have a full focus on the game and as for gortin they need this or have to continue playn in the play-off scraps! Also, any truth that mugsy is unfit to play?

I fear stewartstown next year will have a season like the clarkes have had in 2009 and hit rock bottom. It looks like Father Time has finally caught up with the Harps and a major rebuilding job is needed. If the harps get promoted again it will be Ryan, Cathal & Mickey Devlin, Martin Campbell, Cealan O'Neill & Paul Bayne etc.... as the key players to dig the harps out of junior football.

Harp i would bet any money if you would have had a manager that could have got the best out of your players this season you would not have been relagated its ok bringing in an outside manager but they have got to know the players or at least have studied them in detail to get the best out of them. You will win championship next season

Was Paddy Park and Fergal Logan not helping the Stewartstown manager on the line this year?
