421008 is there a real gortin man on this to comment? from what i see 'watching' is a staunch greencastle man and would love to see his neighbours in the slums...not really a fair opinion?!

Not entirely true my friend.
Staunch is a good word alright
but i have already said that i hate to see them in such a mess
and that i hope they get it sorted out.
Just not happy that they have thrown the towel in at our expense.
Not everyone between the two clubs hate other.
There may still be a few though.

Squeky bum time at the bottom, 2pts seperating 2nd from bottom and eigth from bottom, 3 of the teams from that group still in the championship, no one would be safe, If strabane and augher agree to play for a draw they should be safe finishing with 13pts, urney would look to finish with 13pts and be safe as their final game is against clan who have pack it in for the year, but if stewartstown eskra or kileshil were to go on to championship success this could drag these three teams back into the mix. This weekends championship fixtures could have a massive bearing on the relegation battle

Strabane not quite safe as a championship victory for Stewartstown, Eskra or Killeeshil will complicate things. One thing is sure though is that the championship will have to be finished before any league play offs.

No clan na gael have stopped training, they made a decision that the wouldn't be able to compete next year in division 1 and don't want to go up and come straight back down in case it ruins the club, strange i know but this is true

Strabane aren't safe with 12pts, if stewartstown and kileshil win their final fixtures and rock beat eskra, urney get handy points at clan and augher beat strabane the relegation playoff positions would be between stewartstown, killeshil, eskra and strabane

Always think there is a surprise in store in the championship and would expect one this weekend. Here is my predictions though

Gortin verus Kileeshil - Going to go with gortin in this one as supposedly kileeshil are very weak for this match but gortin not to win by much
Greencastle verus Moortown - Good game ahead think greencastle will pull through
Derrylaughan verus Cookstown - Got to say think this will be the shock game and that derrylaughan will clip cookstown
Eskra verus Stewartstown - Tough call this one but am edging towards eskra on this one

Tough game for the Castle yeaterday.
Played a lot of football but lost too much ball in turnovers.
Credit to moortown on this.
Class goal from Hagan (i think) in the first but again
came from giving the ball straight away to Moortown
and they punished us.
Thought it was gone when 4 down in the second and yet
could have won it in the end.
2 bad misses, especially from Conway, but for the same
man to step up and kick a pressure free like that, something else.
Still in with a good shout this weekend, Saturday i think, before the errigal game.
Don`t think we will give the ball away as often again.

Moortown may have missed their opportunity, will be an interesting replay,
Killeshil v Gortin I believe was a poor affair and don't think the replay will be any more exiting,
Cookstown v Derrylaughen, Mugsy too hot too handle, scored a brilliant individual goal,
Eskra v Stewartstown, Eskra on top most of the game but didn't make it count enough, nearly slipped up at the end,

I see a gortin v eskra semi which i feel eskra will win, their in better form only lost once in their last 8 games, gortins form has completely turned, former eskra manager in charge of gortin and gortin lost to eskra last year in the championship so will be an inteeresting game (if it happens)

Could be looking at the two teams with the best league record do battle in the semi here, greencastle full of running and work hard collectively, cookstown with alot of class over the pitch. Feel cookstown will take this one

Greencastle v Moortown - Greencastle (will definitely improve, win by 5/6)
