Clan na gael don't want to be in the playoffs because they don't want to go up and being in the playoffs will just drag their season out, playoffs won't be played until the championship is wrapped up! Your looking at playing ball well into october

It has been noted around the Greencastle that our two neighbours
are content to let other teams win easy at our expense.
Poor show i feel.
Didn`t the Clan manager not take Greencastle a few years
ago before Teague took over.
I know Gortin are in total freefall with no one talking to each other
but if it had of been the other way around, Greencastle would not have calfed.
Relations have been damaged for now.

if i were from greencastle i would feel very hard done by in the fact that gortin and clan na ngael seemed to put in 150% against them while surrendering to much inferior opposition throughout the season.

You sound a bit like Louis Walsh there with the whole 150% thing.

When Pomeroy did the double a few years back and won the Ulster Intermediate (An achievement that has already been sniped at by some Greencastle people on here), They beat all before them fair and square and were deserved winners. Greencastle have had to beg for points the previous two years to stay in Division 2 and now this year it appears they expect their neighbours to let them win handy and give them the points as well to win the league!! Fair play to Clan and Gortin - they made Greencastle calve. Their best bet is Cookstown to do the double at this stage, otherwise Pomeroy will be ready and waiting in the play-offs!!! Priceless. By all accounts from the people i be talking to now and again the clan's manager had a major bearing on Greencastle's achievements previous to their famous year in the sun.

The team that wins the league is the most consistent over the year and Cookstown are the team in this division this year to do so. Handy points have been exchanged in the past by their closest rivals at the end of the year at the other end of the table and now it appears they expected handy points at the top end of the table as well. Sauce for the goose, but probably will get promotion if Cookstown do the double which is a very big possibility, If not then the possibilty of a Greencastle Pomeroy clash in the play-offs may just happen, Oh the exitement of it all!! At the fourth time of asking this diluted posting should get the go ahead.

Should i or should i not.
Ok then.

I see your back ML and mis-informed again.
You do keep knowledgeable company.
Don`t think anyone was sniping at Pomeroy`s achievements,
think about it, there it is.
As for begging for points this last 2 years, hardly.
Last year just about survived, year before comfortable in the table.
Fair play we were beat alright, its the fact they have given up for the year that annoys me.
As for a certain man having a hand in getting us to our day in the sun,
come on, what happened the year he was in charge?
Or does your informants not know.
Ha Ha.

And there`s me thinking we were getting on.
What are yous planning for the playoffs?
By the way yous are not in them yet.
Yous have 14 points, 6 teams above you have more.

Thank-you for finally letting me get my points across after much effort. But to me match fixing is a blight on our games and makes a farce of things at the end of the year but it makes me laugh when you get posters from clubs giving out about it when they benefitted for this in the past. Absolute joke as if they are holier than thou. Such hypocrisy at the highest levels. The teams doing this should be docked points at the start of the next season. Thank you. Fair play for all.

I keep knowledgeable company alright but the knowledge about my own club stays in my club and doesn't be plastered for all to see. Idle gossip doesn't win many titles, No better point being than reading through some of the carry on we have here. There are many connections with family's and work collegues between our two clubs and I would happen to know a fair bit about what goes on across the mountain and beyond. My comment regarding the previous manager was completely toungue in cheek as I am sure you would know as you know it All.

But your still going on about your double few years ago and other posts having views on there club like you on yours so you never kept that within your club . Now i think yous have no chance off going up to be honest.

Oh Murphy, let yee without sin cast the first stone...... I would suggest you step off your moral high ground and ask yourself if your own club "begged" (in your own words) points from others. I suggest you cast your mind back to the start of this decade with an end of season match between the club you have problems with and yourselves. Perhaps ask your friend or relative(s) and report back. Thats all i have to say on the matter.

Meanwhile......back to the real business

Championship predictions

Greencastle v Moortown - Greencastle - possible injury concerns in the malachys and Greencastle back in good form after small blip.
Cookstown v Derrylaughan - Cookstown - Only one winner here.
Gortin v Kileeshill - Gortin - Communicating with each other or not Gortin could upset a Killeeshil team in real relegation trouble.
Stewartstown v Eskra - Stewartstown, although this is a tough one to call fancy the Harps to scrape through just. Gareth Devlin being the difference

Peace to one and all

A lot of chat recently about throwing games and letting teams win...Did we not have this same problem? Dont think this is even true anyway, why would teams lower themselves to do this? clan na gael are still in the playoffs so cant see why they would lose on purpose while gortin are still in with a shout and have championship this weekend! Think the real speaking will be done this weekend, still stick by my earlier predictions!!

Case closed there Mugsy, mind it alright. Think Murph might have been still kicking about primary school at the start of the decade. Glass houses and double standards. Seem to know/concern yourself with the castle. I'm not totally up to speed with gortin. why is there so much in-fighting? I'm very disappointed to hear it.

Killeeshils 3 players that were in the states during the summer are returning this thursday and not playing in the championship so mite be worth a few pound on gortin.

Well BobbyB , I don't concern myself with the internal goings on in the old people's home in Gortin, possibly a row over a remote control or something, i don't know. perhaps Watching could elaborate as Murphy says he knows it all lol. No offence intended Watching!!

You'll be at the game on Sunday against Moortown like the rest of us. I think if they perform the way they have done in the last two league games they can progress but as our Loughshore friends keep reminding us that they have good championship pedegree at this level so we will go there with the utmost respect for the opposition as they have some good players and pretty much annihilated us two years ago at the same stage of the championship. Sean will have them well prepared, lets hope the boys can put that big smile back on his face again!!
