Strabane Sigersons 1-9 - 0-9 Moortown

Good game the night under the floodlights. highly enetertaining and im sure anyone at the game would admit Strabane were sloppy but the better team.

Goal at the start of the second half sent Strabane on their way along with a fine save from our own keeper kept the hopes alive towrds the end of the game. would say its opened up all prospects for relegation and promotion playoffs now.

Great result for Strabane last night. Wouldn't they just love it if their neighbours from Urney ended up back in junior football next season?

True Mick, and given the antics that went on the last time Urney and Augher clashed in Clady you can be certain they'll not be getting any handy points on Sunday.

Strabane v Moortown last night! Alot of talk around work today about moortowns half backs coming forward to much! Ive watched most of their home cames this season and in particular i like their number 7! kelly i think...? crozier in the middle very calm and distributes the ball very well. Number 5 is to wee.. and trys what the other two can do and it never seems to come of?? According to the talk the three of them were all out of place last night and not defending which is their first priority. Hopefully it gets sorted before greencastle.. Two players went of injured i believe? Who?

I would be right in saying a few clubs in the division would be glad too see Urney relagated as for strabane i would say they be glad to see urney stay up as they always seem to get handy points from them. As for dellboy he always has Greencastle to side with if urney fall. Urney a bit like strabane they are hard too beat at home, must go see that game as Cas is playing be some battle against ur man lafferty

I've been around a number of division two matches this season and made a point of heading to Strabane last night to watch them play Moortown. I was interested in attending this match to have sneak preview of what lay ahead next Sunday in the intermediate championship. Strabane fully deserved their victory and were by far the hungrier team, I don't know which match Highcross was watching as I felt the Moortown halfback line carried the team during the first half. The main differnece between the teams was the ability of the Strabance forward line to convert their chances. If Moortown perform like this next Sunday Greencastle will have nothing to worry about.

Sorry my mistake but urney and strabane always nearly end up drawing except this year . To the moortown issue there not so quick now on the typing thinking greencastle are bottling it or could it be the other way around.

Intermediate Championship 2009

Stewartstown v Eskra - Eskra..should have enough firepower to beat a stewartstown team lying lower
Greencastle v Moortown - Moortown...Greencastle on a slipy slope and could be taken here
Cookstown v Derrylaughan - Cookstown...Too strong here and in division2 in general
Gortin v Kileeshil - Gortin...Should have tunred things round by championship time

N
Moortown not really consistent enough to go the league route....... and don't travel well.

Still think they will be a different team in the championship.

Stewartstown v Eskra - Eskra....1st time in a couple of sesons to make something out of there season,to strong for bad stewartstown team.
Greencastle v Moortown - Greencastle....to strong for an average moortown team, moortown hit there peak this season, slipn back down the hill now.
Cookstown v Derrylaughan - Cookstown....strong favs for the championship, derrylaughn are a very young team.
Gortin v Kileeshil - kileeshil...boys back form trip abroad, will be hard to stop.

Good win for Pomeroy last nite. The battle at the bottom should be very interesting from here on in that win last nite keeps pomeroy safe think all the teams in around the bottom can pick up wins this weekend

think - stewatstown to beat kileeshil (just) home advantage deciding factor
rock to shock and beat moortown
urney to beat augher

the loser of stewarstown match will definately then be in relegation playoff i feel

Cookstown v Derrylaughan - Cookstown...Derrylaughan lost their way this year.
Gortin v Kileeshil - Gortin......Gortin will regroup for the championship.
