Mugsys_barber...i havent forsaken greencastle in anyway, im just looking at the teams who are hitting the form now. They sat at the top on their own for a few weeks and got there deserved credit but other results including there defeat to gortin has thrown all these other teams back in the hunt for the league. There a good team and shouldnt be written off in anyway but im just very impressed with the current run of results for cookstown, gortin and moortown! Fair point youd have to agree?

Fair enough point Intermediate man, The teams you mentioned are all flying at the minute and all putting up big scores and I suppose Greencastle could only put up 12 points against a 14 man Urney team. Killeeshil will be a big test for them at the weekend even with so many Killeeshill men in New York.

Scored 9 of the 12 in the second half with the wind in Urney
who are fighting tooth and nail for their survival in the division.
It was a scrappy first half which ended 3 apiece against the wind.
Not a bad result at all.

Yes it will be tight away to Killeshil even with their men away.
It will be hard to go the rest of the year without dropping more points
but sure we are still in the hunt.

As for the soccer, no law, you are right,
but i have never known Greencastle to move, change or cancel training
because men want to go/play soccer over our national game.
Don`t think any of those men that played last year missed any training or
games because of a soccer game.
An Caislean Glas Abu.

Yes Watching you've certainly got a point there, terrible stuff altogether, but i suppose in Greencastle you's dont need to cancel training for soccer when they play soccer at the training i hear... lol lol

I thought championship matches were at neutral venues, 7.30 in Creggan would have done the trick! I heard it was in Pomeroy as well, was maybe even gonna go if they let me home early from work!!

rock beat them by 6pts. another big performance by the rock, tehy were 1.4 to 0.1 up after about 15min. they took the foot of the pedal for a wile and strabane came back to within 3 pts but in the 2nd half rock dominated again. never really looked like losing

strabane look to be on the road down to div 3 again cuz they didnt really have any bite about them. all big strong men but no football in them. always crying at eachother anytime anything goes wrong, sign of a beaten team!

I think Strabane will stay safe.
They are bad enough travellers at the weekend
but on a Wednesday night, must have no heed on it.

I believe that will be the top 5 teams however i think greencaslte will run out of steam come the end of year, thinking maybe cookstown could take the league with gortin or moortown as dark horses for the championship. Not ruling out derrylaughan but dont think they have wat it takes especially after the defeat to rock at weekend. Id say watching will have a point to say on this?

I doubt Derrylaughan's challenge for the league is coming to an end. Beat again tonight by Stewartstown.
Stewartstown 3:7 Derrylaughan 1:6

Derrylaughan bate so its now down to four teams with Greencastle running out of steam? Pah!!
They will be there or thereabouts you'll find as they have both Derrylaughan and Moortown at home. Points away now in Killeeshil on Sunday are vital to maintain their place at the top where they have been from the start of the league. Keep 'er lit.

Cookstown look like certainties for winning the league.
I think Greencastle v Moortown will decide next best.
All three in with a shout for championship with one or two more dark horses like Gortin.

Mugsys_Barber...if anyone is going to take it, i think cookstown. They have the experience of division 1 football which will come in useful come the end of the year also with the fixtures in their favour. Would it be fair to say gortin are relying on the championship with a few tough fixtures still to come. But from my knowledge alot of the top 5 teams still have to play each other. Down to the wire?
