This years Tyrone u15 Tyrone Development Squad is an absolute disgrace. Thos selectors should be ashamed. They didn't even watch the game. Players were picked based on physicality and by who they were. Also they picked a player from practically every club just to keep the club happy. Some players chosen hardly touched the ball and yet they were selected. And there were players who played far better and weren't selected.

There were players several players who deserved to be pickedand didn't get picked, there should have been more players picked from the clubs that performed well in the u14 season, particularly Grade 1. And there were many players who didn't deserve to be picked based on their trial performance.

No the final panel will be announced tomorrow or wednessday.
There is a tournament on this saturday for the final panel.
10 or so players are ment to be getting cut from the last trial

Looks a fairly descent panel. Some very good footballers from various clubs which is good.
Im sure that whoever is on it is there for a reason and whoever didnt make it just were not the best 40 in Tyrone at the minute.

I see the squad has been named and I'm not disputing the quality of it as I'm sure there are plenty of fine players. I would say that the selection process was flawed 1 I know our club were never notified of trials
2 When they heard they were on they rang and only after pleading we got trials for our players
3 When they arrived they were made to spend half the morning waiting for a trial and played with West Tyrone lads whom they didn't know and who refused to pass them the ball.
4 From what I heard the chaps over the team took little or no interest in the trials.

Two of our lads are a leaps and bounds above anyone else we have at that age group in our club and although we play our trade in the lower grades they are quality players. One was on the Academy Corn na Nog team and the other lad is Captain of his school team. In my view they didn't have a chance and were disregarded from day dot because of were they were from hardly fair. As Micky Harte said playing for a county senior team is for an elite few the best it gets for most lads is to have played underage football for their county.

Im sure that if you look at the list of players they all range from very successfull underage teams to not so successful teams and from all grades and levels.
Id love to know what club you are from and who the lads were that you claim should be on it???????????????
As far the chaps over the team, its hardly fair to say that they ignored players. The County Board emailed every club wishing to nominate players, which they did. Fair enough some clubs may not have nominated any players, that was their choice. Perhaps you should check this out as it may have been a club error on your clubs behallf.
Also, there were 4 trials with 2 games at each trial so anyone at each trial were surely not just ignored. Im nearly sure that those chaps dont get any pay or even expenses for being over the u15 dev squad, they give of their free time for the good of the lads and for Tyrone.

They wouldn't get a bean the same as anyone who is involved in underage coaching at any club. I have been well informed that we received NO email, secondly I never said any of the lads named shouldn't have made it good luck to them thats all I say all I'm saying is there should be a level playing field regardless if your from Dregish or Errigal Ciaran, I don't intend going down the route of naming names but these young lads deserved a better crack and the way things transpired this didn't happen. I have better things to do with my time than make things up I was informed of this weeks ago it dosen't matter in any event its not going to change anything. All I can do is wish the players and coaches all the best.
