I have stopped posting on this thread becasue I have said my piece but this has continued on into a Belfast vs country debacable. Tom 1916 go and catch youself on, thats disgrcful stuff to come out with what would you think if some of the posters cam on here and said that they wouldnt rent a house out in South Armagh becasue it would be tunred into a fuel laundring plant? omaghjoe (Tyrone) - Posts: 1191 - 12/04/2009 14:48:51 255250 Link 0 |
Ridiculous. The province main ground should be geographically in the centre (ie clones). Just shows that its always the bigwigs in the city that hold the power LagheyLad (Donegal) - Posts: 39 - 12/04/2009 23:00:42 255497 Link 0 |

i prefer clones to casement.i just think there is a better atmosphere both inside and outside the ground at clones. orange and blue (Tyrone) - Posts: 1080 - 13/04/2009 11:23:46 255647 Link 0 |
How many posters on this thread have been to an Ulster final at Casement? The last final played there was the great 1971 Down V Derry game. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 13/04/2009 14:31:41 255735 Link 0 |
patrique,i have never been to an ulster final at casement but i have attended quarter and semi finals at both venues and casement doesnt come close to clones. orange and blue (Tyrone) - Posts: 1080 - 13/04/2009 20:53:16 255977 Link 0 |

I don't have a problem with Casement but I feel that Clones just explodes into live on Ulster Final day I drove through it last Sunday night was like a ghost town ,plus my first love came from Clones (:o( fortyfive (Tyrone) - Posts: 5929 - 13/04/2009 22:14:26 256066 Link 0 |

LagheyLad I have to say if we were going for the geographical centre of Ulster would it not be Omagh. Clones is hardly easy to get to for the people in Antrim od Derry and even down. I dont believe it should be in the geographical centre it should be in an area with a large number of Gaels. West Belfast fits the bill for me. Its even a Gaeltacht area now. Belast is the most accessable area in Ulster. You have the 2 major moterways running into belfast you also have the central train station the central bus station and of course you can gain access to it by sea and Air how much more do you need. oisinboy (Antrim) - Posts: 335 - 14/04/2009 13:22:16 256413 Link 0 |
