went 2 see the granard connalys game last night and i was dismayed by the refering that went on. every call went against granard and i mean every thing and at half time the score was 1-4 to 7 points but simily the ref called it at 1-5 to 7 which wasnt the case.... in the second half a granard player was sent off for telling the ref what he though off him,, which i do not condone on a football field but i do feel sori for the player.. but wat happened then amazed me the st.marys player was walking off the pitch and a connalys player came after him swining punches which the ref was looking at and there was a blind eye turned to it... as a nutural at the game even i was sadend and i no now why the county football is no such a mess now.. but fair play to the granard team for there one point win jackinthebox212 (Longford) - Posts: 20 - 09/05/2009 09:30:43 278912 Link 0 |

jack in the box, you are no more a neutral! With respect, what would a neutral be doing at a Granard Connolys match?? Mondo (Longford) - Posts: 148 - 09/05/2009 14:06:32 279003 Link 0 |

Two surprising results over the weekend, with very good wins for dromard and ballymahon especially, anyone at either of these games, what happened abbey? League is getting tighter now with clonguish only drawing with mostrim SonicDHedgehog (Longford) - Posts: 150 - 11/05/2009 09:49:59 279838 Link 0 |
At the Dromard Abbey match. Both sides were short about 8 regulars with county comitments, injuries and unavailabilities etc. Would not read anything into the scoreline. Droard did play well. Hagan returning to Dromard as manager of Abbey. Perhaps he did not want to show his hand until it really matters. Jack L (None) - Posts: 3149 - 11/05/2009 11:08:55 279900 Link 0 |
Opinions on last weekends matches please, I heard Colmcille and Dromard are still struggling to grind out results, Abbey and Clonguish still playing impressive stuff as well. Will these 4 teams share a quality gulf in championship over other teams?? khafelnikov (Longford) - Posts: 91 - 31/05/2009 10:13:25 298170 Link 0 |
Boys what is the story with Mullinaughta?? They weren't even that good in Division 2 last year and now they are more than holding their own in division one. You'd have have something seriously wrong with ya not to admire them. Hope they carry it through to the championship. Ronnie_Coleman (Longford) - Posts: 59 - 31/05/2009 17:41:21 298340 Link 0 |

See clonguish won again last night, looking good for them, they're on a great run at the moment, if they keep it up they will be hard stopped come championship... SonicDHedgehog (Longford) - Posts: 150 - 05/06/2009 10:40:59 302450 Link 0 |

Not sure about CLonguish. Very lucky to beat Colmcille who are very understrength. Colmcille 1-11 to 1-06 ahead with less than 10 mins to go and much the better team. Couple of silly misakes later and they were beaten including conceding 1-01 in injury time. Caelois (Longford) - Posts: 23 - 05/06/2009 23:00:29 303134 Link 0 |
