The "Non-Cork" thread....

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Unfortunately I had to work over the weekend on non-jaffa cake related business, but in the spirit of continuing the research I bought a box of the orangey goodness for the audit room.
I mentioned the debate on here for a bit of a laugh, and the manager mentioned that it had been brought up in a DCASS table quiz a few years ago, and that there was a VAT case to back it up!
20 minutes searching the firm's internal databases and I had all the evidence required.

I once got an awful bad sickening as a result of some downright reckless over-consumption of toffeepops.

I'd often still long for them now - but such a longing is accompanied by a terrible nauseous feeling.

Take heed fellow biscuit enthusiasts - for this is a cross I hope none of you will ever have to bear....

Dhorse, you dip that viennesse sandwich in a cup of tea and its like a little bit of heaven in your mouth! Makes me feel like I am totally worth it!!

And guys, I am sorry to say it but I have never been a Jaffa Cake fan. They are the Monaghan of the biscuit world - just OK, never going to be spectacular.

OK so we've had some much valued debate on biscuits over the past week or so..

But I think its now time to keep the focus away from the debate in Cork and turn our attention to another cherished snack - the beloved potato crisp..

Tayto's Sour Cream & Onion Ripples..

Get them into ya!

We all enjoyed the Oscars last night, and sometimes movies and television adventure series make it seem as though shooting a gun, fighting, and taking chances are fun and exciting things to do. And what's more, the good guys never get hurt. But in real life, people do get hurt, even killed, when they fight or use guns. Make believe can be fun, and there's nothing wrong with imagining great adventures. But never forget, that when it's the real thing, someone can get hurt. Even the good guys. Even you.
