I think it will boil down to Dromin Athlacca & Monaleen, would say that Dromin Athlacca would be favourites from my point of veiw at this moment in time.

Dark Horses : Monagea and you can never write off South Liberties.

westoutcast....i wonder where your from?? not really, the thing is the teams that you are tipping for the relegation final are both teams that knocaderry with there "two county players" have failed to beat in recent times, ncw beat knocaderry in there own backyard a few weeks ago and they failed to beat a very mediocar monagae team in newcastle in the championship,

For me i can see Caherline winning it this year, cant see any player that will take Brennan out the game

Liberties won 3-19 to 1-13. Good first half was a draw 1-8 a piece. Condon was sent off for knockaderry and keane for liberties after bout 10mins something off the ball.
2nd half was poor after liberties got 2nd goal bout 5mins in. Knockaderry full back and half back line where taken to the cleaners. Probably the worst defensive display you are likely to see at this standard. Relegation semi I predicted earlier in year but I now think they may actually go down. Will be interesting vs mungret as both teams now must fight it out. id fancy mungret(remember the ballybrown game last year). Hanley and d o sullivan looked very dangerous in 1st half and if they are to stay up will need the ball going into these boys. Missing condon tho for that 1!!
Liberies I actually predicted them for final vs attlacca but was dissappointed with them last nite even with big win. The O'Neill's are carrying this team at 11(rory-Man of the match destroyed centre and half back for kderry for pace) and 14(David-outstanding scores and was playin with one leg for about 20mins in 2nd half) and 6(Seanie who was excellent throughout). They will need to improve in full back to have any chance winning it out.
Monagea where the big winners last night and barring a collapse like the dubs vs liberties and a kderry trouncing of mungret(Highly unlikely) they go through to the 1/4 finals. They have been written off all year by many but as said back in February this team has some heart and im delighted for them.

RE: NCW

I know NCW have has some serious injury problems this season with the team missing S. Browne, D. McCarthy, T. O'Connor (All players played with Western Gales in previous 2-3 years).

Also with the loss of A. O'Connor and others to Auz, the team had to blood young players fast. Good up and coming talent making the breakthrough.

I am only tipping them for relegation as any team who looses these players would struggle whatever county or grade it is in.

If NCW had a full pick I am sure that there WOULD be there or there abouts. But at the moment they are one of the favourites for relegation along with Ballybricken and I stick by that.

Monage are the surprise team of the year, a team with little skill and a big heart. I think Monage are fighting for there survival as a club as with little or no young players coming up the club will struggle in the future, Maybe join up with Killedy in a few years to make a intermediate / senior club……..

fair enough match report. the half back line was seriously outplayed and outpaced.once again team selection needs to be questioned. if its not sorted out in time they could be playing jr hurling next year.

Ya i agree, Fair play to MONAGEA (thats how you spell it) as said before no one gave them a chance. For such a small parish, they have did themselves proud. As joining Kileedy,NO!! they did it a few years back St Itas underage, that didnt work out & lost a few players because of that! Hopefully they can qualify for the quarters, after that you never know. Plus Sean Herlihy will be back in september. add more fire power. MONAGEA ABU

could not agree more with you 14theroad. Knockaderry half back was out played for all the game seriously lacking pace. Condon should be selected at Half back and he can drive the team from there.

You would also have to question the lack of heart show by the team . This was something Knockaderry were never lacking even when playing Jnr hurling . Management need to make the hard decisions to ensure that Knockaderry stay up or else they will be relegated
