WestOutCast-you must have the most serious case of amnesia in history! how can knockaderry be favourites after getting wallloped by South Liberties and drawing with Monagea!! while they had a good win last night over a disgraceful mungret side, they have no-where near the hurling to beat Dromin/A, Liberties, Monaleen or even Pallas in my opinion. I would be very impressed if they managed to beat Monaleen in the quarter finals. They are lucky to have eventually qualified from their group so dont get too ahead of yourself! city_slicker (Limerick) - Posts: 7 - 31/08/2009 15:29:01 410214 Link 0 |
Ballybrown got thru by da skin of there teeth friday and got thru by bad refereeing decisions and ballybrown have the cheek to go on bout bad referees, well once again ballybrown win because of a bad ref... mclurkey5 (Limerick) - Posts: 11 - 31/08/2009 15:32:13 410219 Link 0 |
Westout cast.D/Athlacca were already thro to 1/4 final before the Ballybricken game so the had no interest id say.Ballybricken only playin for pride.was speaking to some1 at it and said it was played liked a bad league game.As for Knockaderry i cant see them make the semis.i was at the south liberties game when they got hockied.when it comes down to it the are a very average side.Ballybrown and D/Athlacca in the final id say. gud1stouch (Limerick) - Posts: 57 - 31/08/2009 15:38:05 410230 Link 0 |

Caherline v Hospital on at 6.30 tonight in Knocklong. eastgael (Limerick) - Posts: 629 - 01/09/2009 08:24:05 411172 Link 0 |
Caherline need to win , or thats it for the year.If Hospital lose by 4 pts or more they are gone. Hopefully the rain stays away,no sort of shelter for us misfortunate customers in knocklong. pullhaard (Limerick) - Posts: 195 - 01/09/2009 12:39:05 411491 Link 0 |
It seems very few people think Pallas have any chance of upsetting the odds and beating South Liberties. I really think they are the dark horses for the championship provided they have no further interest in the senior football. After seeing them against Cappamore it appears they have finally found players who are capable of taking scores from play. buachaillog (Limerick) - Posts: 40 - 01/09/2009 14:02:46 411618 Link 0 |

Result from tonight. H/H 1-14 Caherline 0-15 bigdik (Limerick) - Posts: 4 - 01/09/2009 20:51:38 412293 Link 0 |
Does anyone know if the rumor is true that H/H offered to play caherline in caherconlish last friday but caherline refused because they were short a player or two ? Cowardly act if it is true , Looks like it backfired anyway when they lost tonight in knocklong. It was a game spoiled by frees and poor refereeing.Caherline did not deserve to win as they can hardly score from play , the corner forward scored about 11 points for them with frees. Their followers showed their true colours when a scuffle broke out on the pitch and a caherline supporter came onto the field throwing punches at hospital players, they should be punished for this but I suppose it depends on the referee to report it. Glenroe and H/H go through now , do either have a chance of winning the title ? scarecrow (Limerick) - Posts: 5 - 01/09/2009 21:55:09 412408 Link 0 |
Scarecrow.... The match last friday night was called off at the last minute due to the fact that a playable pitch could not be found, it had been set for cappamore, switched to ballbricken and then called off at the last minute. Caherline's team was picked without the missing players that you "seem" to know about. As regards the match tonight. H/H were deserved winners on the night and seemed to be able to pick off their scores when they got the chance, unfortuneately Caherline could not. In saying that this game could have gone either way with Caherline hitting the post late in the second half. The referee was chronic for both teams in my opinion, he gave free's for no reason and let some obvious free's go unpunished, he had no consistency whatsoever .... also he was 20 mins late! As regards the idiot supporter who ran on to the pitch, he in no way represents the majority of the caherline supporters and was promptly given his marching orders by the supporters around me. Your "true colours" statement is a bit pathetic really and stinks of keyboard heroics. Caherline have had a dissappointing year given the highs of last year, in reality we've left it slip away, we had Glenroe beaten except for a mistake in the last couple of minutes, and have lost narrowly to H/H. The lack of goals this year seems to have cost us. All in all, we'll be back next year and best of luck to H/H and Glenroe in the 1/4 finals. clint_eastman (Limerick) - Posts: 4 - 01/09/2009 23:03:30 412499 Link 0 |
Not sure about letting it slip clint_eastman-! anyone who knows hurling in the county will admit ye massively over-achieved last year-In a very avergae group this year ye managed third which I think is a true reflection of yere level-that full forward line is never going to be quick on to a ball-no wonder ye are not scoring goals and why andrew brennan one of the best forwards in the county is centre back always manages to astonish me-taking murphy off too seemed a crazy decision unless he was injured-think ye are def a team on the way up alright but still a long way away from consistently challenging at the knockout level in my opinion city_slicker (Limerick) - Posts: 7 - 02/09/2009 17:24:12 413383 Link 0 |
