good wins for both ballybricken and cappamore in the east last weekend against caherline and south liberties.Early days yet but good to see some teams back in competitive action again before what promises to be an intriguing championship.Dont believe Ballybrown are good enough to win it though.

Some insightful analisis there lads, 16 teams competing for a championship and you name 2 teams who won't win it,i must check the price in ladbrokes for that.As for ballybrickens great 1 point win over a Caherline side minus 9 players who played in the 08 county semi final and final,well yes very early days.

just getting the ball rolling for every1 to bad mouth them as usual. i actually think both will go far in the championship. i think its between mungret or pallas. heard they are both putting in a serious effort. now eastgael with your vast knowledge where are you going to put your money!

If i'm to name 1 team to win this years championship i'll go with Mungret,Glenroe would be my other fancied team.lts a fierce tight championship with any team capable of beating any other,

Drom/Ath have to be considered as one of the favourites but I think everyone is sick of seeing them yoyo up and down so it would be nice if someone else got a crack at Senior level. I think Mungret or Ballybrown will be the strongest come the business end of the year but you never know year in year out with the intermediate championship, all the teams are so equal, it's more about effort than quality.
It would be good for Limerick hurling if another city team could go up to Senior tho.

I think Ballybrown have a great chance. The are playing quality senior opposition week in week out in Division 1A in the all county laegue from next week on and i think it will stand to them come championship. Other than that as already mentioned Dromin/Athlacca are an up and down team and having already seen Mungret playing well in a challenge this year they could be around at the business end of the season.

Thats how i think the group will finish,peckory.Liberties might sneak in ahead of Knockaderry but i expect Mungret to top the group.Whats your own opinion.

Im going to go against the grain here and say that mungret wont come out of this group.A lot of people seem to forget that both ballybricken and knockaderry beat them in the championship last year and they were very lucky against Ballybrown.I think Liberties will top the group with Knockaderry second

I was at the Mungret and B'bricken game and Mungret had their chances to win that game,i also remember Liberties scraping a draw v Pallas to get them out of their group,so its not going to be clear cut either way. Should be some great games though.

yeah really good,tough game of hurling in terrible conditions.Knockaderry the better side for long periods but ref did them no favours and thats putting it mildly.Worst refereeing performance I have seen in a long time to be honest.
