Would Dromin-Athlacca be one of the main contenders.Mungret , Glenroe , Ballybrown , Caherline and maybe Pallas will be at the business end,but sure all teams i saw last year weren't too far off the pace.Any team prepared to put in a serious effort can put themselves in with a shout.

Knockaderry must be favourites with their two county stars, and with Western Gales practically out of this years Chanpionship.

Jaysus West outcast, You must have a bee in your bonnet about competition to your beloved knockaderry, Every year it seems you tip NCW for the relegation playoff (A team that has been at intermediate grade longer that knockaderry) and will continue to be. And now you go and pick on poor defenceless monagea? Perhaps they may be inspired by caherline's fantastic performances last season and progress beyond what you predict? This season I tip ballysteen to really rattle the senior football championship and Kilcornan to finally win the Junior B Football. (Remember where you heard it 1st)

not sure about monaleen.

they were very poor last year. the hurling set up out there seems to be in disarray.

talented players there indeed, mike doyle being a fine example. there's surely a case for him to be on the 21's hurling panel.

some poor players also. its questionable whether or not brian geary still has the heart for it after his injury. watched him with the city gaels recently and i have to say his legs appear to be gone.

I don't think Monaleen have any chance , things have been let slip too far , they'll struggle to stay intermediate over the next 5 or so years. Mungret have a serious chance,they were unlucky against Bruff in the'08 semi.

claghaun in fairness to say brian geary has lost the heart for it is plain stupid... might of lost a bit of pace but his heart is def there.hurled today again for city only 6 days before his wedding and there isnt many fellas who'd do that with risk of injury. .. il agree that mike doyle deserves a run on 21's team. ballybrown have good management team for 09 roddy burke manager with tom ryan and christy keyes his selectors so will be there abouts to go back up senior... pullhaard monaleen to go down.. not a hope of it... geary, cosgrave,doyle,russell,nash, mc cauley, 6 good hurlers amoungst others...

Going on what i saw last year ,there most certainly is a possibility they'll at least be involved in the relagation side of things,last year beaten out the gate by Pallas and only a lucky draw with an average liberties team. There'll need to be vast improvement required for championship in '09.

Think Monaleen have too many good players to go down, a lot of very even teams in the Intermediate Championship, think Ballybrown, Mungret, Glenroe, Killeedy and Dromin/Atlacca with be at the Business end of the Championship, Monagea could be dark horses to go a long way, hard to know who will be relagated, think it will be between Ballybricken, Knockaderry and Caherline, will be very hard for them to sustain last years excellent form

Would that be the same Kerry team that beat a Tipperary side in 08. I think it was Emly. Kilgarvan are a senior club playing in a junior competition and seem to be a tough nut to crack in their own back yard.
