Any chance of the rest of the league table BhugOsyterC? And any remaining fixtures if you have them? Thanks.

An Spideal beat St Colmans 3-6 to 0-13 in the west semi-final. I have to say I was expecting Colmans to win it but fair play to An Spideal. They have will a fair chance in the final whoever they play which is down for September 14th. I didn't hear the other result between Aran and Barna. Was anybody at the game yesterday or was it postponed due to the state of the pitch or what's the story??

In the north St Kerills put paid to Mountbellew 1-10 to 0-2. They now go on to play Headford in the semi which will probably be played next weekend. I'd fancy Kerills to give them a good rattle and really put it up to Headford but I had Headford to win the championship earlier on in the year so I will stick with them. Who played well for Kerills??

spiddal can count themselves very lucky. they got two poxy goals in the first half and st colmans missed a penalty in the second half.spiddal only managed two points in the second half against a tough but very limited st colmans team. st colmans had lads who were struggling to solo the ball.ud know football wasnt their first sport.
how did aran do?

According to the GAA Master football fixtures list (more like "print it and use it as bog roll after march 1st list") this weekend was down for the Junior A and B championship semi-finals, as well as round 6 of the senior league.

Clayton Hotel Senior A League 2008
Round 6 17th and 24th August 2007
Clayton Hotel Senior B League 2008
Round 6 17th and 24th August 2007

Junior 'A' & 'B' Championship
Semi-Finals 10/08/2008 or 18/08/2008

So how could they possible set out both weekends as hurling and football weekends. These shower of codgers should be ousted ASAP. You'd be as well off with stevie wonder and timmy from killinascully looking after our fixtures instead of these clowns. It's a complete farce as usual. And has been for at least 10 years.

Its really annoying, how are you supposed to plan anything around the Master Fixture list when they keep changing it!! A joke!! Its not as if they had to change anything due to the County Senior Team drawing a match or playing in the qualifiers which would be a legitimate reason to change the list.

This is not the first year lads so it's no big surprise.
I give the entire squad a copy of the master fixtures at the start of the year and as ABU said they might as well use it as bog roll.
If the players want to book holidays it's imposable.

On another point.
We played Aran in Junior C last Sunday. No ref showed. Some fell that was on the island was brought in to ref it. Poor lad had no idea. Not complaining about the result but why do we pay for ref's at the start of the year. We (both clubs) were told the game had to be played.
