An Spideal beat St Colmans 3-6 to 0-13 in the west semi-final. I have to say I was expecting Colmans to win it but fair play to An Spideal. They have will a fair chance in the final whoever they play which is down for September 14th. I didn't hear the other result between Aran and Barna. Was anybody at the game yesterday or was it postponed due to the state of the pitch or what's the story?? barry (Galway) - Posts: 30 - 11/08/2008 12:22:14 70734 Link 0 |
spiddal can count themselves very lucky. they got two poxy goals in the first half and st colmans missed a penalty in the second half.spiddal only managed two points in the second half against a tough but very limited st colmans team. st colmans had lads who were struggling to solo the ball.ud know football wasnt their first sport. techland (Galway) - Posts: 494 - 11/08/2008 12:40:43 70765 Link 0 |
The Aran v Barna game didnt go ahead, It was postponed as supposedly it was a 'hurling Sunday' and Barna-Furbo had a hurling match. Its rescheduled for this friday evening @ 7.30 in Rossaveal. Fear_Arainn (Galway) - Posts: 30 - 11/08/2008 13:47:27 70888 Link 0 |

fear arainn whoever told ye it was a hurling weekend last weekend was lying. the st kerrills v headford north board semi final is not going ahead this weekend because its a hurling weekend according to the county board. techland (Galway) - Posts: 494 - 13/08/2008 11:40:46 73210 Link 0 |
Both last weekend and this weekend ARE hurling weekends even though there are some football games on. alfie (Galway) - Posts: 309 - 13/08/2008 12:20:23 73277 Link 0 |
According to the GAA Master football fixtures list (more like "print it and use it as bog roll after march 1st list") this weekend was down for the Junior A and B championship semi-finals, as well as round 6 of the senior league. Abu (Galway) - Posts: 7 - 13/08/2008 12:53:16 73345 Link 0 |

Its really annoying, how are you supposed to plan anything around the Master Fixture list when they keep changing it!! A joke!! Its not as if they had to change anything due to the County Senior Team drawing a match or playing in the qualifiers which would be a legitimate reason to change the list.
