What about the west?

Barna / An Cheathru Rua
Spiddal / Oughterard
St Colmans / Salthill-Knocknacarra
Aran Islands / Renvyle

Our match with Renvyle should be good. Both teams will be well up for it.

Barna / An Cheathru Rua - An Cheathru Rua .... but tight
Spiddal / Oughterard - Put the house on An Spiddal
St Colmans / Salthill-Knocknacarra - Salthill, Galway playing Hurling in Tipp. so some St Colmans players might be AWOL
Aran Islands / Renvyle - This should be a cracker but Aran should have the legs on Renvyle. I hear Renvyle are missing a few key players.

Not so sure about Salthill, Id say Gort will do them, they would still make it down to Thurles for the Galway Match after. Our game is in Rossaveal, It was only passed for championship last week, not sure about this, the last time we trained there it was not great albeit, that was 6-7 months ago, does anyone know if its improved ? Rosmuc would have been a better choice.

If Gort have a full panel to pick from, they'll win handy.

Ros Muc pitch would have been better but there is an ladies under age inter county blitz on. Also there is a memorial tournament on all weekend.

Ballinasloe ad headford will be a gud tight game but i tink ballinasloe will just prove 2 strong in the closing stages and win by 3 r 4 points, headford scored 2 soft goasl against dem in the league but i cnt see dem doin dat in championship!!!!!!

Headford won by a point 0-9 to 0-8 i think in a very tight game. after being 0-5 to 0-2 up at half-time it looked ominous for them at the start of the 2nd half when ballinasloe kicked 3 in a row with the wind but to their credit they responded well and never let them get in front. ballinasloe also missed 3 45s in a row at the end which would have sent it to extra-time.

Any results from the other games?

Good win for Headford on Saturday over Ballinasloe after them being written off here over the last week.
Why were the other Junior A games in the North called off? Does this mean that the dates for the next round are now screwed up?

grellans u must have bad eye sight, one of the goals we scored against ballinasloe in the league was from 30 yards into the top corner of the net.one of the best goals ever scored on that pitch.as for saturdays game it was the tough game we expected and you could see what it meant to us at the final whistle.we are playing st kerrills or mountbellew in the semi final.

Aran Islands 2-12 / 1-12 Renvyle
Barna 1-7 / 0-8 An Cheathru Rua
Spiddal 1-10 / 0-6 Oughterard
St Colmans 1-14 / 1-11 Salthill-Knocknacarra

We had a good tough game yesterday, deserved to win in the end.. The Rossaveal pitch was actually top notch despite my doubts earlier on this week. Barna beating Carraroe was a bit of a surprise. The semi final line ups are:

Oileain Arainn v Barna
An Spideal v St Colmans

What do we think lads?

Fear_Arainn - congrats lads. Good to hear about the pitch. You should beat Barna. The other match should be a good one.
It'll be a good final either way.

Thanks Stairie! Id say Gort will beat Salthill, It will be a good final as you said for sure (If we get past Barna that is). If we dont do it this year, it'll be the failure of the Century!

Was at the headford Ballinasloe match and from what I saw the winner was going to have a major say in the championship, fair play to headford and good luck to them.
