15 points not a bad score for two forwards in the Ballinasloe game!! Who would be seen as the favourites to go up after the first round of games?? Cheese (Galway) - Posts: 10 - 07/07/2008 18:09:29 44208 Link 0 |
Na Piarsaigh v's Aran was a Junior A game. Na Piarsaigh were missing 7 first team players, Goalkepper got injured in the first half, first sub goalkepper also got injured. Nearly had to play myself. Starie1975 (Galway) - Posts: 444 - 07/07/2008 20:50:53 44265 Link 0 |

Na Piarsaigh v's Aran junior C match was rearranged early last week due to a large number of Na Piarsaigh's players being injured or unavailable. The date on the master fixture was 12/07/08. The match will now be played on the next available date. Starie1975 (Galway) - Posts: 444 - 08/07/2008 13:06:20 44693 Link 0 |
Stairie - I'll have you know we were missing 5 of our first team players as well before you try and compromise the result, which lets be honest, was never going to be in doubt regardless. Fear_Arainn (Galway) - Posts: 30 - 08/07/2008 13:29:05 44725 Link 0 |
Should Na Piarsaigh be playing any junior A games at the moment? Original_JD (Galway) - Posts: 127 - 08/07/2008 13:58:10 44763 Link 0 |
Fear_Arainn - Not trying to compromise the result a mhac, just trying to explain why we didn't play both games as we have only 34 player to pick from. In fairness ye should have won by alot more but ye hit a very high number of wides. Starie1975 (Galway) - Posts: 444 - 08/07/2008 14:29:13 44817 Link 0 |
well done srarie, fight ur corner, the arainneachs seem to be a bit cocky at the moment mise (Galway) - Posts: 144 - 08/07/2008 14:38:03 44833 Link 0 |
was at the ballinasloe-cortoon game, ballinasloe were by far the better team, strong up the middle, they had liam lynch playing corner forward and just seemed to hid everything at him but it worked.i would fancy ballinasloe when they play headford..they have a very strong half back line full of running. mikehef (Galway) - Posts: 2 - 08/07/2008 14:48:06 44846 Link 0 |
Ure dead right mise...for a team that have **** themselves in as many finals as mayo, arann they are very cockey! BTK (Galway) - Posts: 19 - 08/07/2008 15:03:32 44864 Link 0 |
wat did i say! Ballinasloe proved me right by taking care of cortoon with ease even without 3 r 4 startin players, they are now ready for headford, nd 2 b honest i cant see any1 standin n their way! Grellans (Galway) - Posts: 7 - 08/07/2008 17:12:49 45057 Link 0 |
Aran arnt a cocky team, but even so beating a team by 28 points can hardly be a worrying factor. And as far as "**** themselves" in finals, pretty harsh considering only losing by a small margin. Ricotan (Galway) - Posts: 3 - 08/07/2008 20:34:43 45172 Link 0 |
15 points but could easily be more. one wing forward did the dooher role well, lynch was excellent. The other wing forward was good but after that passengers e.g. the Full forward didn win one ball. mowtastic (Galway) - Posts: 98 - 09/07/2008 02:17:42 45249 Link 0 |
Starie - Completely understand, we only have about the same number to pick from ourselves and have had the same problem for years so I know where you're coming from... Fear_Arainn (Galway) - Posts: 30 - 09/07/2008 08:58:56 45274 Link 0 |

I hear The Bomber Lucas is back flying it at training for B'sloe...They need a target man like him with all the young lads around..He will add a bit of beef to the full forward line, a John Donnellanesque type player. TedCrilly (Galway) - Posts: 9 - 15/07/2008 09:33:10 48418 Link 0 |
