If tuam do well they might lose players to senior? Athenry would go from strength to strength. Cortoon are top of the league and have put up some great scores, they must be fancied.

Claregalway would be a real force if they had their senior hurlers togging(Turlough,Carnmore, and I think they have a Cashel lad or two), which I understand has not been the case this year. These guys have backboned Claregalway Junior teams in recent years.

ballinasloe should in my opnion win the junior cham, seen them in a few leauge games and considering missing a few players still look strong.a very young team...with lots of ability.young kelly playing in the forward line and still looks like a class act, lynch at midfield wins alot of ball best young midfielder around at the moment.but the likes of headford, athery, tuam still lookings like good teams should be a interesting championship.what do ye think??

Well done to Headford on a fine win against Caltra yesterday. With quality players like Coyne, Mchugh and the Meeneghan brothers they will be a good bet for the championship. It's between them and Ballinasole in my view. Athenry could be the dark horses.

Don't think Ballinasloe have much of a chance this year. Results have not been going great so far and they really should be hitting some sort of form by now. Maybe its a couple of years early yet. I'd say its between Spiddal or Headford.

i believe this match was abandonded close to the end due to a mass brawl, like lots of things this story could have been exaggerated, but if true it could mean trouble for those involved.

apparently a salthill player did a very bad tackle on a piarsaigh player that left him injured. the salthill player in question was assaulted by a piarsaigh supporter as he was leaving the field after being sent off. a few more piarsaigh supporters got involved and gave the salthill player quite a going over. heard from a few of the local neutral supportes that it was quite bad

wouldnt say it happens a lot, but the potential is always there with them more so than other clubs. will be interesting to see the referee's report

have to say ye are taking it too far to say that na piarsaigh are like that. They are a great club working with a very small pool of players.

Wasn't there but heard fom some neutrals that it was a disgrace. I heard up to 20 piarsaigh subs/players attacked one salthill player after he fouled a piarsaigh player, they had him up against a wall hitting him. To make things worse I heard a woman supporter ran in and punched him more than once.

Salthill player made sickening and dangerous tackle on piarsigh player. His mother came on to protest at which stage she was pushed over and thats why brawl broke out.
