What was the story with the Spiddle Carraroe game on sunday? Heard it was a tough match. Did Carraroe rough them up? I thought Spiddle were going to do a Moycullen and beat all around them in this division. Also whats the story with Carraroe ? Has anyone seen them play? This is turning into a very interesting division with Aran winning well to remain unbeaten along with Salthill & Renveyle. Did Barna give a walkover against Renveyle? . Predictions for the season please.

Are you counting out all the teams on the north board side? Headford are just down from intermediate, Gabriels have Tomy Joyce training them and Cortoon had a good win at the weeekend. Ballinasloe might get there act together, didn they win something at U21 last year.

Very early yet but id say Oileain Árainn, An Cheathrú Rua and Na Piarsaigh will be there or there abouts with An Spidéal. Bearna will fade away as the summer progresses and when they lose their re-grades...what was the story with Renvile giving Bearna a walkover??? They were in a county final last year to go up! Good thing they didnt if they cant field in junior! Strange.....

Was at weekend game in spiddal. It was a good tough match with carraroe playing some very nice football.
The league is very open and should be competitive to the end. Aran, na p , spiddal and barna looking strong. Spiddal to bounce back from loss to Carraroe.

The west looks very competitive so far.are st colmans not going to follow through on the promise they showed last year?
In the north it will be down to headford, ballinasloe and athenry i would predict.top four play off before the winner goes through to play the west board champions in the county final.

st. colmans well beaten in 1st round of league v carraroe. perhaps missing players, certainly not as immpresive as last season. they were a big physical team but lacking football on the day.

how can barna be on 6pts from 3 when they have given a walkover?

i was wrong in my earlier post.there are two groups in junior A in the north.each group will have semi finals,1 v 4 and 2 v 3,then a final.then the winners of the two groups will play each other and the winner of that will play the west board champions.
tuam are another team in the north that will go well id say.spiddal may have lost to carrarioe but id still expect them to come through from the west board.the north is tough to call.ballinasloe, athenry and headford have the advantage in that its their first teams.the likes of tuam have a senior team which may make it a bit harder.

The north will be very close I reckon. Ballinasloe prob favourites to come through but they will not have it easy. Headford cud giv them a run for their money if they have everyone but then again that hasnt happened for a gud 3 or 4 years. An spidéal to come through the west

Is it definetely top four in both north board junior A leagues? This seems a tad unfair on the west board teams as 4 qualify from 12 whereas in the north it wud be 4 from 7 and 4 from 8

Oileain Arainn beat Fr Griffins/Eire Óg 0-16 to 1-8 last friday , We were down by 5 at half time but completey dominated the 2nd half. The wind up in Tirellan is shocking.

I think Arainn, Renvyle, An Cheathrú Rua & Spiddal will be there or there abouts, Barna always seem to fade away with J1's, work etc and Im not sure about the Na Piarsaighs, they never seem to bother us but maybe we're a bogey team..
