Ever hear it said that Leitrim people are stupid and still living in the dark ages. I always hated this stereotype and got into many an arguement with people who tried to be-little me because of where I'm from. But after FFs vote of 30% in Leitrim (one of their highest in the country) it has occured to me that people who think of us like that might not be far wrong.

dr. shepard i think you'll find alot of other counties voted higher than us for FF. sure they even increased their vote in Biffoland. it may be at odds with republicians but we have a democracy here and luckily people can vote how they like. are you planning on setting up a Provisional Leitrim team?!

I have to agree with Dr.Shephard, practically the whole country put the boot into FF because of their role in sleepwalking us into a recession, and a housing bubble, which destroyed some of our pictueresque villages like dromod, leitrim village etc. etc.

And we are one of the few counties which did not get a few hundred jobs from the civil service decentralisationOf course we buck the trend and give FF one of their tops votes in Ireland!!

just did a quick check. out of the 34 constituencies in Ireland Leitrim were the 10th highest voter for FF. shows that we clearly aren't near the top FF supporters in the country.
