you're right .... it was more the arrangement of the blue,red and white colours and the pattern that they followed that irked me, show me a good strong RED,WHITE,BLACK flag and you'll understand my true constitution......

The late Frank Stockwell (Mainpage) played in a Leitrim county final in the early 1960's under an assumed name.
Having scored 1-5 or so to lay the foundations for victory he limped off "injured", complete with large flat cap.
The beaten finalists were up in arms by Wednesday but despite exhaustive research no "proof" was ever found.
Clever lads in.........Oh God, memory fails me........... Isn't it hard to keep a "stroke" quiet, human nature I guess.
