joe,joe,joe..... gravey is a play on words and i was using narrative license and i really dont care what you're views on trainspotting are. i'm obviously not as 'down with the cool kids' as you.

steady on dundee_gin, I'm only winding you up.

I'm sure you dont care about my Trainspottoing views the same as everyone else doesnt care about your trip to Cardiff and what ye got up to!

I'm disappointed that you and Johnnos Bulls chose to go watch the Queens game (with the Queens country playing her sister's country) as opposed to staying at home and watching the good wholseome local GAA North West derby.

I see some clown put a message on the MAIN MESSAGE BOARD about this P Garvey character coming back from Australia to play for Leitrim. Surely this 'joke' has been done to death by now, and as for it appearing on the national forum, it's a bit embarrassing really for Leitrim. Now I'm as fond of a bit of revellery as the next man but if you can't come up with something new I think it's time to leave it lads. Maybe this is funny after training in Annaduff or wherever but Jaaaaaaaysus it's done!!

Address:Croke Park
Dublin,United Kingdom

Just saw the above on www.theonlineticketexchange.com

Isn't that something!!

Brings me back to my honeymoon on a remote tropical isle. We were welcomed at reception by a complimentary drink which was a refreshing cocktail served in a coconut. We arrived with an Italian couple who were served just ahead of us. The whole presentation of the drink was an impressive affair topped by a small cocktail stick Italian flag.

We waited patiently for our drink to arrive but writing this now I can't adequately describe the horror I felt when the waitress arrived with the cocktail....for there on top of the ornate presentation sat the UNION JACK.

Seething inside I regained some self control to calmly lie that I didn't drink alcohol. I am not ultra nationalist or anything but in my despair I did wonder if Pearse and Collins were turning in their graves.

Seeing Croke Park listed as been in Dublin, United Kingdom brought it all back.

Have any of you posters had similar experiences

Was on holiday in Portugal and went on a one day fishing trip. The 'captain' of the vessel was very wary of us (Me and two other lads). He gave us fairly rubbish fishing rods and was short with any answers. He didn't have much Bearla either. I offered him some beer that we had brought and he got a bit tetchy. He says in broken english 'Beer big in England not in Portugal'. So the penny dropped then and I explained that we were Irish and not English. Low and behold his demeanour changes instantly, takes out the good fishing rods, navigates about half a mile to a place that's absolutely teeming with fish and opens the on board fridge to reveal a stash of the local tipple. NICE ONE. Later he gutted and filleted all the fish we caught. Methinks we wouldn't have got the same treatment had we been subjects of the queen. BTW freshly caught mackrel done on the BBQ is the nicest thing i've ever eaten............ apart from Pan Boxty of course.
