Alot of negative comments about Ulster recently by alot of people (myself included) so in the spirit of the season... bad.monkey (USA) - Posts: 4649 - 20/12/2008 13:55:26 168601 Link 0 |
Is this like Paul McCartney's Pipes of Peace song? Will there be a truce on the 25th, we'll kick a few points together and then hostilities will resume on the 26th. OK then. Despite charging me £9 Euros for a coffee and sandwich in Connolly Station I will not insult or annoy our fine fellow Southern citizens for a few days. Feliz Navidad to one and all. There are 3 other provinces in this great country of ours...can we not change the record from all this tripe (good or bad) about Ulster? Let it rest! Can we not talk all things football on this? Caff01 (Mayo) - Posts: 124 - 20/12/2008 14:18:55 168613 Link 0 |
Despite what many may think, I am very fond of the northern province. Long term posters here will back me on that. Things I always liked about Ulster are Derry, as a whole I love every thing about it. Derry is my third favourite county in Ireland. (After Dublin and Limerick of course) Antrim Hurling. The dedication, the passion, against all odds. The famous saffron shirts. Hope they do well in Leinster. Always had a soft spot for them Kieran McGeeney - Legend, Nuff said. Fermanagh. to do what they have with the population base they have to work from is remarkable. Down. GAA Royalty. Donegal, thank you for Shay and Packie!! Tyrone, for Sean Cavanagh, Stevie O'Neill, Cormac McAnallin, Brian McGuigan Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 20/12/2008 15:23:35 168642 Link 0 |

Personally I favour the Loyalist "doomsday" situation, where "Ulster" (Norn' Ireland) will consist of East Antrim and North Down. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 20/12/2008 17:13:11 168680 Link 0 |
