There shouldn't be more players from the IfL on the Galway panel, it's the 3rd tier of Galway football. Ya wouldn't exactly think there should be more League 1 players o the English international panel. Get real....Mediocre players playin at a Mediocre standard with a ew exceptions; Matt Clancy,Niall Coyne, Paul Conroy, Eoin Concannon etc.

L.M allstar will you stop with that sort of talk. litir mor are no where near good enough to win the double. They had three chances to beat Michaels last year. two of those outings michaels only had half teams out. In the championship when Michaels had a full team, litir mor were nowhere close.

Whatever about the championship fine michaels beat us fair and square...wev had half a panel the whole year with injuries and n the west board final we were missing another 3 players one of which was our county footballer....and ye undeservedly scraped a 1point victory....

"citygaafan" your a fool for that comment ya left. we had john butler(6 years dealing with michaels) managing us last year and he told us that was your full squad on each of the 3 occasions. the only time ye were missing someone is when hoare was left on the bench 4 the west board final. no disrespect to uachtarard but we bet them off the pitch in the first game of the league last year only to lose 8 of our starting players from that game. 4 of them being cruciate ligaments. so 4 the very majority of our year we only had 40% of our main team. in the west board final ya might have might have noticed we only had 4 subs and we still rattled ye. you didn see nothing last year and i cant wait til the day we go senior and deflate ye'r heads a bit. and that day is coming soon so enjoy yourselves while ye can

IN FAIRNESS I THINK NAOMH ANNA'S CHANCES ARE REASONABLY GOOD OF GETTING PROMOTED. NOT FAVOURITES BY ANY MEANS NOW!BUT SAYING THAT HALF THE TEAM FROM LAST YEAR WERE INJURED OR MISSING OR WHATEVER SOUNDS ALOT LIKE A COP OUT,EVERY TEAM WILL STRUGGLE WITH EMMIGRATION AND INJURIES DURING A SEASON BUT YOU HAVE TO BATTLE ON AND DO THE BEST YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE!!!FACT!

FACT!!!! big cheese we did battle on and got robbed in the final by a point against the apparent best or second best team in ireland. we only lost 1 player through immigration. lettermore is to beautiful to immigrate from FACT!!!!!!!!!

Kilconly were not the only team to beat St. Michael's last year. Oughterard beat them too. St. James' drew with them. Its too hard to call this year. Oughterard might be hard to beat.

SURELY THIS THREAD IS NOW POINTLESS SINCE THERE IS NOTHIIN TO BE GAINED FROM WINNING THE IFL2009! ALL INTERMEDIATE TEAMS HAVE ONE GOAL WHICH IS PROMOTION TO SENIOR STATUS,SOMETHING ONLY ACHIEVED BY WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP.I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO SOME VERY INTENSE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL IN THE SUMMER MONTHS.ANYBODY AGREE???

In the west board championship it should be Carna V Oughterard and winners going on to win the county.

Paddy_Ireland - There is no West Board Championship in Intermediate. There is a West Board League Final in Intermediate.

I wonder has the ruling on Walkovers changed. Would I be correct in saying that if a club give 3 walkovers they were automatically relegated but the new rule say that the bottom team in the West play the bottom team in the North and the loser gets relegated. I can see a lot of walkovers happening this year. I estimate 4 matches in the West will be Walkovers.

Next year is it Intermediate A and Intermediate B for the whole County instead of having a North and a West?
