It's really funny how anytime there is a chance to ridicule Slashers nearly everyone in the county are here to do it!. Trying to get their say! If ye were as quick to give off about yer own clubs! Can anyone tell what any other team has done for Longford football.. If i do remeber rightly in my younger years.. I once read a book..and Slashers got a mention.. Theres one example of prmoting Longford Football! So please will all you sad people turn right around and take a look at the state of yer own club before ye come here to give off about others!

As for the website. What is wrong with abit of banter ?. It only brightens up the website?.Ya'd swear that nothing is bein ut up there! Anytime im stuck for a fixture or something I need to know.. it seems to have it there?. So in my opinion there doing a good job! And if you want to give out about them.. Go set up your own Longford Gaa website and we'll all see how good you are at it!...

The Longford offical website must be ran by a few young heads giving that address on the site. I thought that there was only one person or webmaster heading the site. I knew that there were two reporters but is it ran by a committee or a single person

if i didnt know any better i say that was a dig at spinx and the boys giving out about the website, fair play to them boys for all the work they do on the website they deserve a ould mention so they do...dont see to many other boys running into pearse park looking to do the job!

I believe there would always be someone to do that job so it is not a matter of stating that no one else would do it. They get paid to report and to update the site. No one in the county wants to know who is doing what or whose 21st it is or what the slashers players are up to.

"With the way things are in this country at the moment people should have more to be doing with their time than having cheap shots at people who put in a lot of effort and time to keep things going, yes every bodies views count but not the 'no named' hurlers on the ditch" i dont think there was any place for this section in the christmas greeting.what has the current economic climate got to do with how the longford gaa web site is run?, dont get me wrong i think some of the work on the web site is excelent, the fixtures are really well laid out but i dont think reporting on 21st or young lads goin away (all of whom are from slashers) has any spot on the page.

On De 40 - yep I agree I seen that comment. Seemed very strange to me. Unprofessional even -
as if written by a 15 year old.....or maybe a 40 year old with the mind of a 15 year old.

I see they have now changed the greeting over the weekend - someone with a bit of
sense obviously seen it and got it changed. However can I advise then to proof read
what they put up on the site and not have spellings like 'suppoerters' !

Leave it out lads...will ye stop having a go at those who manage the Longford GAA Website. Its managed by GAA volunteers who put their time and effort into it for free. Its not Reuters or Bloomberg with up to minute info, and why should it unless the GAA are prepared to put in full time web publishers. I suggest ye e-mail the Longford site and offer to update the content every week.

Finally the over 16's within the county board have clamped down on the juvenile comments put on our county website. Well done chaps.

Im not havin a go at anyone - the fact is the comments put up on that Christmas
greeting last week (now altered) was downright immature and unprofessional...
surely you dont disagree ?? Someone must have cause they were there Friday
and by yesterday the message was changed with the stupid comments removed !
