portumna are one of the top teams on wat they have achieved. you have 2 say it wheather u like them r not. its fact. there goin 4 dere 3rd all ireland. tats more then de likes of kiltormer only 1 less then athenry at de moment. show sum respect 4 1 of de best club teams of all time

clash we all no beagh bet athenry but it doesnt make them a better team far from. great year for beagh and fair play to dem athenry did play poorly and couldnt match beaghs hunger on the day.but in the end athenry wer undone by some poor decisions by joe joe and even some beagh players said this.at the moment athenry are a close second to port but then again they arent really a proper club side.lougrea shouldnt be in the top ten at all.and to same theyre and ageing team the average age is 25 since wen is dat old.athenry all ireland champions 1997,2000 and 2001 the most sucessful galway club.

this post speaks volume on why the Current Galway team are underachieving considering the sucsess of galway club hurling in the last decade and so on. ye are all too concerned about who is better that the other instead of using this great resource(that no-one else in ireland has) , that is, ye have loads of really strong hurling teams.

portumna will soon start loosing there big shots, athenry have lost them, loughrea will also soon be loosing there big guns but unlike port have a few new comers.
gort and thomas i think will soon be ready to take on the likes of port, they have won so much underage in the last few years its hard to see how they couldnt.

Dont know what lads are thinking when they are putting Athenry as one of the current top 3 hurling teams in county, ye obviously havent been to many of their games the last few years. Fair enough to have them 2nd in the all time great teams but nowadays they are falling away, not many teams fear them anymore.
