would have to be Sean McLaughlins "point" in the 1995 AIFF . Disallowed by the boul Paddy Russell for the preceding "pass" !Tyrone losing by a point at the time, game over straight after that, would have to say , a slightly controversial moment in GAA history, but sure the Jackos needed it more than us didn't they? They knew what was coming over the hill in the distance!!!

A pity the thread title dosen't read "most controversial scores" as opposed to "most controversial score". Nevertheless, I'm sure JayoCluxton or lino_de_legend will be able to recall FOUR very controversial scores/decisions in the June of 2007.

Michael Ennis point for Westmeath against us a few years ago to give the forgotten county a rare win and a first in yonks. They were going to need something like that because they had choked so many times before.

cavanaghs dive for penalty in 05 clearly a great tackle.

Erm, yes, no penalty, but it wasn't a dive - the Dublin defender followed through. Could make a comparison with sliding tackles in soccer.

Donegal "square ball" goal against Cavan in the first round in Ulster in 1992.

And Donegal went on to win the whole lot.

Aaron kernans freekick. 21 yards out, terrible free that dropped short but went a yard behind the line before tyrone keeper caught it in 2005. Mattie McGleenans goal against Armagh, think it was 1997, pushed the fullback in the back then put the ball in the net to win the game. Plunkett mullet Donaghey (or 20 steps as he is known in Armagh) championship[ match in Omagh against Armagh, think it was 1994, moved into fullforward, got the ball turned inside and out without ever soloing or bouncing, think he took nine steps then goal.

I think that Cavan score in '97 was by Raymond Cunningham, or was that in the first game against Fermanagh; I dunno, I always heard that a Cavan score was wide but allowed in the drawn game gainst Fermanagh and so Cavan shouldn't have got to the final. Larry Reilly also may have had a wide allowed in the final against Derry, I'll have to check up on that

Gerard Murphy,Kerry v Tipp. Tralee. His shot was wide, rebounded back to him and put it in the net. Umpire did not see it as he had ducked to avoid the first shot.Last ball kicked by Ger for Kerry.Taken off and never made the team again.

Ooops! Well the memory is a bit hazy on that one but I am sure it will live long in the memory of Westmeath fans.

Gooch Cooper got a point against Galway in the quarters this year that was disallowed. A few mins later Galway were awarded a point after much standing about and chin scratching by the officials. Then one of the cannisters doing the RTE commentary (Moloney I think) says to Canning 'I suppose its only fair given Coopers equally controversial score'. Which Id agree with had Coopers point being allowed....

Samin10 in remember 94 and Plunkett's many steps!!! Was our first win in the championship since the 89 Ulster final against Donegal.

In all fairness I was also in the Athletic grounds in 93 (I think) when big Mattie McGleenan had a perfectly legitimate fisted goal disallowed for square ball. What goes around comes around and all that.
